[1] I love the quality of these bags. I bought a small size and it's great for my tripod. I have three of the medium bags and I love them for light stands. I also like that they are not black. Too much black gear... I fill gallon size ziplock bags with sand and then put them in the bag. It works great and you can control the weight that way too!!! 5

[0.425 lb] I bought two of these sand bags and they work great. I use one for the base of the stand and a second for the boom. I have used pre-filled bags in the past which work well, but these give me flexibility for the boom to vary the weight to exactly what I need. They seal perfectly and I do not have any concerns with sand spilling out of the bag. 5
