A: Sorry, no. The Boss FS-5U - Footswitch - Unlatch will not be able to work as a foot clicker with a mouse.

Q: 4. Could this one be powered by NiMH AA batteries?

A: The instruction manual calls for 4 alkaline AA batteries. The voltage of NiMH batteries is lower than the 1.5 Volt rating of the alkalines. I would think that you would get either a low battery warning, or a shorter run time with the NiMH batteries.

Q: 5. Boss EV 30 Is it compatible with Roland xv88 synthesizer?

A: No, the EV-30 is for use with Boss pedals and processors that have expression pedal inputs.

Q: 6. Does this unit feature compression?

A: I haven't used it for vocals but only for the acoustic guitar feature and no, it does not have compression on the guitar.

A: No, the presets for the BOSS SL-2 Slicer Pattern Processing Pedal cannot be switched using MIDI control change messages. Only expression, tempo, and effects bypass functions for the SL-2 can be controlled via MIDI CC messages.

Q: 8. Is one allowed to connect Boss BR-80 to a guitar amplifier, and how to do it? Via line out? Is it the way to monitor the recordings etc. (besides having the earphones)? Or is it better to connect it to a home hi fi stereo set and how?

[-20 dBu] I own a couple Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedals, and while these pedals are superior to the Boss FV50 in terms of build quality and feel, they're heavy. I'm putting together a small pedalboard for bus and train travel and so weight is my primary concern. I picked up the FV50H for use with guitar as well as the EV-5 expression pedal. So far they're working out great. 5

[-20 dBu] The size, build quality, and design of these are great. The size is medium. They don't take up a ton of room, but they aren't too small to use. They are built like a tank. The connections are in the back, which was great for my needs. I have two of these on my board and I'm happy with that choice. They still have the one flaw that all BOSS pedals have. They design the bottom of the pedals to be the enemy of anything you would use there to attach it to the pedalboard. That hasn't changed here, but we have been self-engineering ways to get around that since BOSS has been making pedals with this ridiculous flaw. I'd give it 4.5 stars for that reason, but I wouldn't knock it down to four. Still great gear. 5

[65 mA] Couldn't wait to get this pedal so I would have more personal control of the volume when playing my mandolin on stage. It works as advertised and I am very pleased with the purchase. I just have to get into the habit of using it!! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing a volume control pedal. 5

[1.275 lb] I loved this pedal, as the construction is very solid, the material is aluminum and also aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The best part is its ergonomics since it fits your foot perfectly on it and does not slide on stage, a problem that occurs with most pedals. 5
