[0.425 lb] Great camera, easy to use

[10 A] The camera was a lot better that I expected, being used Canon gear with good optics I was worried that this bridge camera would produce pictures of a poor quality. This was also based on some comments of disappointed users. All I can say is that if you read the manual that comes with it and the advanced manual, if you take time to watch the videos that you can easily find on the web and that explain how to use it you will be able to take some very good pictures and videos that you will be proud of. It all depends on your expectations, expertise and needs off course. I bought this camera for my next Southeast Asia and Borneo trip , my back is not willing to carry a big camera bag with two bodies and various lenses with the 400mm that alone weights more that the FZ2500 itself , I am not planning to send my pictures to Alamy or make posters out of the pictures I will take so why not go for a compact that has everything and more, takes excellent pictures and videos and it is easy to carry? It has got all the manual setting that any other professional camera has (aperture/shutter priority, manual etc.) , it has got a intelligent auto mode that does the work for you but you can change some parameters according to your needs. And look at the price! A final comment about the staff at B&H , friendly, knowledgeable and responsive, you can't ask for more. I am adding two snapshot taken with the digital zoom on the first day without full knowledge of all the settings available.....

[10 A] Bought this camera up on the recommendation of the salesperson I was speaking with. I explained what I was looking for and he pointed me in a different direction than I was thinking and he he absolutely right. This camera exceeds our expectations for what we were looking for. I have taken a couple hundred pics with is so far and the clarity of the photos are impressive. I like the zoom function of the lens. As a novice I so appreciate the simplicity of the camera and yet all the different things you can do with it. Still learning all of the settings but it easy to learn this camera so far.

[0.425 lb] After 35 years of shooting film and digital i sold all of my camera bodies and lenses and purchased the FZ2500 and very happen with it.
Everything from the first EOS 1 to the different EOS 5s and almost all of the Canon prime and zoom lenses i was ready to downsize to a different setup and the FZ2500 works GREAT.

[Gold Mount] Haven't had it long. But, camera's got a great feel, and the lens delivers. The one-inch sensor and 20X zoom provide for a fantastic travel camera w/out paying double for the other brand's superzoom.
