The integral component within a modular system, this 10" long quasar tube lightsfrom quasar tube lightsis used to construct customized panels in sizes ranging from 1 x 1' to 8 x 8'. When paired with optional fabrics, such as silks or diffusers, frame tubes form the rigid support from which fabrics are attached to create flags, diffusion panels, book lights, v-flats, or numerous other light controlling tools.

This tube is constructed from anodized aluminum alloy and heavy-duty hook-and-loop tape is riveted to two sides of the tube for attaching fabrics. A 3/8"-16 threaded mount is incorporated into the tube for mounting atop stands and additional dedicated self-locking connectors are used to combine several pieces of tube to create flat 2D frames or dynamic 3D light shaping tools.

Tube measures 10" long and can be added to additional tubes through the use of dedicated, self-locking connectors.

Anodized aluminum-alloy construction and self-locking connectors both help to maintain rigid, reliable frame configurations in various sizes up to 8 x 8'.

Hook-and-loop tape is riveted onto two sides of the tube and is used for attaching a variety of fabric types to the frame system.

A 3/8"-16 mount is incorporated into the tube's design for mounting to stands or other accessories.

[3.5 oz / 100 g] I've worked with both the Astera and these SGC lights, and I recently bought the SGC 4 light kit. These grids are pretty much a must have accessory! I got two of them for the kit because generally the interview type work I do, that is all I need. They are a fraction of the cost of the Astera accessories, and if you were thinking you could even use most of the Astera accessories, you'd be wrong. The SGC tubes are about an inch longer and will not fit. So far, I am loving the SGC lights! 5

[3.5 oz / 100 g] I questioned paying the amount I did against making my own but in the end it was worth the price. Solid enough to last, holds the lights tight and the mounting arm is perfect. Multiple mountable configurations and can even remove and spin the back plate form vertical to horizontal orientation. Also purchased both the 4 and 2 light brackets for my TL60 4 light kit. Worth the buy! Fair price. 5

[0.25 lb] I purchased four Q15 lights to create artistic head shots. The lights provide a soft glow. I've also used them as main, fill, and accent lights. I have also used them on film sets with no flickering issues. For the price, this is the bang for the buck. 5
