[Plain diffusion] It works great out of the box, but be careful the screws provided are tiny.
I have several laptops some with only m.2 connections, and some with only ssd 2.5.  With this enclosure I am able to move storage around when needed.

[3.5 oz / 100 g] If you have an M.2 SATA drive, don't just toss it in a drawer and forget about it! It's easy to put it in this enclosure and use it. Just make sure it's an M.2 SATA drive and not an NVME drive!

[Plain diffusion] Easy to assemble. Well constructed. Gets a bit hot when copying many large files but perfect for my use connecting to my TV to watch video files. Do make sure your M.2 SSD is compatible.

[Plain diffusion] I use this developer with Ilford papers. The dilution variation capabilities is an outstanding feature of TST. I use it at 1:15. It has a long working life and capacity. I've used the working solution (1:15) a week after it was mixed and it showed no change in image quality from the week before. It's also great for use where the temp. of the darkroom is not easy to stabilize. I've used it as low as 50 degrees F and at over 85 degrees F without any discernible difference. It really is a great developer. I only wish B&H sold it in the smaller 32 oz. size bottle.

[3.5 oz / 100 g] I couldn't figure out how to revise my original review, so in all fairness I'm writing another. After much thought regarding my original unit that ultimately failed, I've come to the realization that I might have zapped the SSD while handling it on that dry November day. I failed to use my ESD strap and therefore might have paid the price. I replaced it with the same model and it works fine with expected data transfer rates.

[Plain diffusion] This card was easy to install and worked perfectly with the WD Blue SSDs that I ordered along with it. The hardware is top notch quality.

My only complaint is the documentation; it explains how to put it together but there is no explanation on how to set up the SSD cache in the Synology Storage Manager. I found some YouTube videos to get it set up. I did get some warning about the SSDs not being Synology but it did not prevent me from getting the cache up and running.
The system seems snappier, the docker containers I use and even plex seem to load files faster.

[3/4-Stop] arrived disassembled which was ready for install of M.2 SSD quickly. plugged in and worked with both Mac and Windows with a known working m.2 drive.

[3/4-Stop] I bought this enclosure to clone my stock SSD to a Samsung Evo 850 M.2 1 TB SSD. Combining with the freely downloaded Samsung Data Migration that works exclusively with Samsung products, the process was flawless and easy. This enclosure was perfect for the job. It's got a solid metal build, vents for cooling, and a connection that works with USB 3.1 or even 3.0 if you don't have 3.1. I turned the previous M.2 I had into a mini-portable external drive, with ridiculous transfer speeds like at about 300MB/sec. Oh, and here is an LED light on the bottom that indicates it is being used! This is a great enclosure. =

[0.15 lb] Nice enclosure and finish is great, attractive but a little slippery at times. However, it is sturdy and metal enclosure make it good to protect your storage chip. Would recommend and the price is good as well.

[3.5 oz / 100 g] Works perfectly. Performance is what you would expect from a SATA drive. Transcend is the only brand with a decent reputation for 2242 M.2 SATA SSDs.
