The 248-page softcover was published in 2015 and features many practical techniques of shooting along with theory and history and clear illustrations throughout. It tackles urban and landscape shooting in addition to providing information on light painting for adding another element to your images.

Lance Keimig has been photographing at night for almost 30 year and he has taught both of these subjects since 1998 at venues such as the New England School of Photography, Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco, and the School of Visual Art in New York. He teaches workshops around the country and leads night photography tours in Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, and Cuba. Keimig also has lectured at Photo Plus Expo in New York, was a featured speaker and workshop instructor at Estudio Brasil in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Q: 1. I recently purchased this kit and the fixture doesn't seem to seat correctly onto the light stand stud. Is there any special adapter needed for this kit out of the box? It seems as though the hole on the fixture is too shallow, so when I start to tighten the locking nut, the fixture tilts about 20 degrees. I can get it to safely fit snugly, it's just at a weird angle making top down light difficult. Any advise/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Novice To Lights

A: Hi, the fixture pushes about 1 1/2 inches into the light stand stud. The bottom of the neck of the fixture should be touching the bottom of the stud ( the silver shiny part ) then tighten it with the locking nut. It should not tilt whatsoever. Make sure it's all the way in before you tighten the fixture. Otherwise you may have either a defective stand or light fixture. Hope this helps!

Q: 10. I can not log into the app using my email address. I don't want it to have all the permissions it says I must give it to join via social media. Does anyone know how I can log in? It won't allow me to register a password and won't email one to me.

A: You don't have to sign up. I connected to the camera without signing in.

[Focal Press] I doubt these will be enough for deep winter, but so far, as of November 19th with temps just above zero and wind chill, these do well. Comfortable, tight enough to allow dexterity, and yes, warm enough for now. I'd get a second, more heavy-duty pair for extreme cold. 5

[248] We purchased this device to use in our pet's room to allow for checking in on them while the door is kept closed during heat waves to keep the air conditioning contained. This camera was purchased along with an Eve Weather Station, and both were our first Apple HomeKit devices we have ever had or used. The setup was very simple and straight-forward and "just worked." It has been in place for approximately a week now and has been working perfectly fine. 5
