The 50087 from MuxLab is a digital audio format converter offering simple setup and operation for converting between digital optical and coaxial formats in home theater, personal studios, and recording studios. It converts an optical TOSLINK or digital coaxial input to two simultaneously active digital outputs (optical and coaxial). It has digital coaxial (S/PDIF) and optical (TOSLINK ) inputs and outputs, and supports up to 24-bit / 96 kHz resolution.

It works with an uncompressed 2-channel PCM (pulse code modulation) S/PDIF signal and compressed surround formats. There are no parameters to configure; simply make the necessary connections (one optical TOSLINK cable included), then power on the unit via the supplied 5 VDC power supply.

Q: 10. hello, I will use the product blackmagic sdi to optical as well, I will carry 12 g ultra hd 4k 60 fps image, I want to make sure that I buy the right product, I would be very happy if you inform me, thank you ?

A: Any manufacturer of an SFP module such as the FieldCast 12G Video SFP Optical Fiber Transceiver (B&H# FIC9800) needs to program the module for it to work with specific equipment. According to FieldCast, their 12G Video SFP Optical Fiber Transceiver (B&H# FIC9800) is designed specifically to work with the Blackmagic Mini Converter, Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K, ATEM Talkback Converter 4K, ATEM Studio Converter, ShieldRock optical-fiber extenders, and more. If you are using a compatible device then it will be fine.

[1] As a digital cable, it either works or it doesn't. This works as it should. I was pleasantly surprised how thin the cable is.

[24-Bit] It works! Not much more to say here, it says what it does and does what it says. This is a fairly gossamer cable, there not a lot of jacketing material here compared to other Toslink cables I own. It might not be the best if it is subject to abrasion in your use, but for a static run, it's great.

[0.475 lb] I always advise folks to buy the cheapest cables that work. Unless you are setting up a sound studio or have some really high shielding requirements you don't need expensive cables. Cables either owrk or they don't work. These work.

[1] I can't believe an $8 cable was all I needed to hear Netflix/YouTube through my surround-sound system. After years of thinking I needed an AV specialist to diagnose my system, I was able to DIM (do-it-myself). Easy install and sounds great. I also appreciate the other reviewer who reminded me to remove the tip protectors first.
