Rokinon Xeen 24mm T1.5 PL Mount Lensis built specifically for use as a cinema lens. It features an internal focus design so that the lens does not change size while focusing, this minimizes the appearance of breathing when changing focus. Each lens in the set is multi-coated for good contrast, glare prevention, and are color matched to a factory standard, allowing you to assemble a set over time with minimal color shift. This 24mm lens provides what is considered a wide angle of view on full-frame cameras, and a tighter angle of view on smaller formats.

The lens features dual sided focus scales marked in feet, with dual sided iris scales. The 11-bladed iris provides a rounded aperture for a natural looking highlights and Bokeh. The lens is a manual focus and iris lens, and does not have auto focus or auto iris capability. It incorporates cinema-style focus and iris gears that share the same position across the lenses in the Xeen set. The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes when using a matte box and focus accessories. The focus ring rotates 200° from close focus to infinity; this gives you a high degree of precision when adjusting focus.

This is a 24mm lens that has an image circle that covers a full-frame sensor. When mounted on a camera with a Super 35mm sensor it provides you with a tighter shot than if it was mounted on a camera with a full-frame sensor.

The lens features metal construction to withstand the rigors of daily production.

Dual right and left side focus and T-stop scales allow your focus puller to work from either side of the lens, without having to flip the lens in the mount, or facing upside numerals.

Each lens in the XEEN series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.

The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes as you don't have to swap out anti-reflection donuts or adapters to use the same matte box.

The non-rotating front allows you to use optional clip-on matte boxes.

"Clickless" aperture ring for smooth iris pulls.

A minimum focusing distance of 10" allows you to get up close to your subject.

[11] I needed a nice set of prime lenses for recording interviews with my Sony FS7 M2. I normally use Canon EF mount lenses with an a adapter. I have found that Rokinon lenses with EF mounts seem to have a lot of movement at the adapter. I decided to try the XEEN lens with the Sony E mount and it mounts to the Sony FS7 really well. The mount is solid. Both the iris control and focus rings are smooth and exact. I purchased this 35mm along with an 35mm for wide shots. 5

[T1.5] I needed a lens in this focal length and have been contemplating for a quite a few months. I've worked with other more expensive, high quality glass and this lens performs just as well as those. When I added the clip-on matte box and an ND filer...I was in heaven. At 1.5 it's a wee-bit soft, but usable. 5

[ARRI PL] I bought this lens to use with my BMPCC 4K and a matte box. I have now the 24mm, 35mm and the 85mm. They make it easier to use the matte box. The 85mm lens is sharp and captures beautiful images. It's a little heavier than I have expected, but it's great optically and ergonomically. 5

[T1.5] I owned & used this 85mm Xeen Cinema PL mount prime for over 2 years mating it with the Sony F55 CineAlta. It is an extremely well built lens with fantastic image quality. I shoot for all the major networks and this has always been my go to lens for my A-cam camera for beautiful interviews with lovely bokeh. Focus turn is smooth and firm for tactile hand & follow focus control. Could not be happier. 5

[24mm] This is my second Xeen lens. I bought the 50 mm last year. These lenses are not for everybody. They are manual lenses. If you are a filmmaker who knows what you want and money is no object, then you may want a $20,000 Cooke cinema prime. You can get very close though with the much more affordable Xeen line. There are plenty of reviews on line. Most of them very good. There are those who feel that the (cheaper) Rokinon cine lenses use the same optics and produce the same quality picture as the Xeens. Could be. I have a set of Rokinon Cine lenses and they do indeed produce luscious images as well. The downside is that they are kind of cheap and plastic. The Xeens are metal. They look and feel hefty and professional. They also have a standard 114 mm circumference for mounting matte boxes and filters. I have been impressed with the images from this lens and my 50 mm Xeen. I don't think you can beat them for twice the price. 5

[24mm] All the Xeens are great multipurpose lens. The 24mm shows the most distortion on the edges when not perpendicular to your subject. And wide open have a halo effect on lights but from about T2.3 and down to T16 it disappears. I plan on getting a whole set personally. 5
