Q: 1. Are step-by-step examples with pictures included in the training manual?

A: Yes, step-by-step examples with pictures included.

Q: 2. Does this book have sample model releases / templates?

A: Yes, this book has sample release forms.

Q: 3. Does he (Scott Kelby) have a book covering the stand alone version of lightroom 6? If not, how helpful is this CC book for a stand alone version of the software or are their any other lightroom 6 stand alone version books that you recommend instead?

A: After I answered yesterday, I spent time looking at the book last night and he says from the beginning that CC and 6 are basically the same thing and the book works for either. I learned enough in 15 minutes to make it worth the purchase. As a LR 6 owner I recommend it.

Q: 4. What's the thickest media the press can handle?

A: up to 1 inch.

Q: 5. I just converted a camera for Infrared (IR) photography. Does this book go into editing IR photographs?

A: I don't see anything in the book regarding IR photography editing.

A: The press without the table outside dimensions is 77 x 57 x 7 . And working area is 44 x 68 x 1 .

Q: 8. I read that this book is written for Apple users, not Windows users. Is this true? Does it matter? The source said many of the pull down instructions are Apple specific.

A: I teach Lightroom in seminars and photography schools. Scott Kelby's Lightroom book is the best that I have ever seen in helping someone understand Lightroom. The book is suitable for BOTH MAC and PC users. Scott always gives references on how to do things for either format. (Frank www.studio63.us)

Q: 9. Is there a workbook that goes with this book ?

A: We do not have a workbook that would go along side the book.

Q: 10. Can I use foam board with the dry mounting press?

A: It looks as though you can mount onto foam core--although we do not do so here. I would keep the temperature on the low side to not melt the foam core-no higher than 185-190? and maybe adjust the pressure if needed. I found the manual online that speaks a little bit to foam core use (but I can't place the link here)And there is a type of foam core that has the adhesive already on it (but I can't place that link here either...): it's called Speed Mount by Bainbridge. It looks like many people have success with foam core--hope this helps!

[2012] Great for any enthusiast who wants to move to the next step. It's like having a friend next to you who shares all he/she knows to help you improve. For better results one should buy and read the prior two volumes.

[Colby Brown] I'm a worship pastor and I got this book to get good info on some purchases for the future. Not only does this book dive into the history of church technology but gets very specific and sites many examples. I found it extremely helpful for research and to better my knowledge on tech ministry. A must have for you and your team!

[2012] It was a fun read. This was the first book I bought and it was well worth it. There are good tips and I learned a few things. I am picking up one of the other books in the series because I enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend for a new photographer or even one with some experience!

[Peachpit Press] You are not a professional unless you have this book on your shelf, hopefully you've read it. Knowing the extent and the limitations of the law is imperative now more than ever. Not just for your income but your physical well being at times. The public, police and many photographers have hazy opinions as to what you are doing. Get educated.

[Colby Brown] No matter your skill or experience level, John's book is a great read and guide. His writing style explains techniques in ways pretty much anyone will grasp. For the Professionals out there it has little memories that might jog you.
Enjoy and thank-you John and Ken.

[2012] I have all 3 of his books and they are all very informative. This books starts where 1 & 2 left off. Good stuff always, even if you think you know it all, I still recommend you get this book! The lighting and landscape sections are very good
