The VM7104 4-Port VGA input board offers an easy way to route 4 VGA video and audio sources. The VM7104 supports RGBHV / RGBS/ Y CbCr/ YPbPr input signals; stereo audio that can be embedded into HDMI audio output. The board is built with a hot-swappable design that is compatible with the VM1600, so that the unit doesn't need to be powered off when the board is changed.

A: Yes, the ATEN US3342 could be used with a USB microphone, but switching will not be instant as each computer will take a moment to recognize and switch to the new audio device. You will also likely hear a popping sound through your headphones every time you switch. If applications like video games or streaming services are running when the audio device is switched, they may become unresponsive while the computer changes configuration.

[0.9 in] Purchased this recently to consolidate desk space between work and personal PCs to share the same monitors. Very easy to setup and use. Initially there were some minor quirks when switching computers, such as one monitor not being recognized, but that seems to have gone away now, perhaps due to updated drivers, settings, etc. 5

[7.1 Watt] Unlike many KVMs, this thing actually does what it says it can. I'm running two 4K monitors at 60Hz with absolutely no stability issues between a Mac and an Ubuntu machine. Will definitely go for another ATEN box if my needs change. 5

[Wired] Very well made, handy wired single button remote for switching between machines, plenty of power for USB devices. I'm using this switch to share my devices between my PC and Mac at my desk. I simply switch inputs on my monitor and press the super handy remote button included with this unit and all my devices are switched over. I had worried about how my audio interface would handle being switched between a Mac and a PC, but so far it has worked perfectly with my Scarlett 2i2. 5

[32 °F] I have this switch set up to allow me to switch between a Retina MacBook Pro and my tower gaming PC with Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card, and it performs the job very well. Previously I had a similar setup using an IOGear DVI+USB KVM switch between MacBook Pro and my older tower PC, with just a DVI-to-DisplayPort adapter on the video cable to the Mac. For the new setup I bought a DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable for the Mac (could have used an adapter but the cable was $10 and it's less... lumpy... this way.) I've only been using it for a week or so, but it's working great! Comes with all cables, which seem to be solid quality, and fully bus-powered - small and light but seems well made. The older IOGear DVI+USB2 switch wasn't as expensive as this when it was new, but I guess that's the price I pay for going 4K. I did my usual research on all available DisplayPort + USB switch options before selecting this one, and I'm pretty sure I made the right choice here. If you're trying to drive a 2K or 4K monitor from two DisplayPort-equipped machines and share a mouse and keyboard between them, this is the ticket. 5
