This 25-sheet pack of 17 x 22" Galerie Gold Fibre Gloss from Ilford features a wide color gamut and a baryta (barium sulphate) layer with a tradtional photo fiber base. The paper is designed for pigment and dye-based ink systems and imitates the look of traditional silver halide photo paper. The paper's 310 gsm weight provides a heavy, professional quality medium. The nanoporous instant dry surface provides maximum ink absorption and allows for worry-free paper handling right out of the printer. The paper can be used for both black and white and color prints and provides the ability to imitate chemically toned sepia, gold, selenium & blue images. Additionally, it does not use optical brightening agents for maximum longevity and an opacity of >98%.

A: Both papers are about the same level of white. The only difference is the thickness.

Q: 2. Is this paper double sided?

A: No this paper is single sided.

Q: 3. Is this the right paper for my Epson R2880 and XP 800

A: Yes it is compatible with your 2 Epson printers.

Q: 4. How many pounds is this paper? Do you think it will go through the Canon Pixma Pro9000 mark ii?

A: This paper is 13mil or 310 gsm. It is within the thickness tolerance for the p9000 II.

Q: 5. Does this paper use the Photo Black or Matte Black cart in the P600/P800?

A: The Epson Legacy Fibre Paper (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets) uses a smooth matte black.

Q: 6. Does this paper have a hard smooth surface or does it have a texture?

A: This paper has a smooth white surface. It is beautiful. I don't know what you mean by hard .

Q: 7. Hi, what media type should i use with an epson p600 printer?. the icc profile says eam media type, but i dont know what it means. The ilford website did not answer my question, this is why i am asking here. Thanks.

Q: 8. Does this replace Gold Mono Silk?

A: The Ilford GALERIE Gold Raster Silk Paper has the same surface and thickness as the Ilford GALERIE Prestige Gold Mono Silk Paper so it would be the nearest replacement.

Q: 9. Will the Canon G7020 be able to handle this papers thickness of 13mils?

A: No, the Canon PIXMA G7020 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Printer is only rated up to 200 gsm, and the Ilford GALERIE Heavyweight Duo Matt Paper (8.5 x 11", 50 Sheets) is 310 gsm. So regardless of thickness, the weight itself won't work.

Q: 10. Does this paper work OK in the P900 top loader or is it necessary to front load?

A: The Epson Legacy Fibre Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets), B&H # EPLEFR1722, can fit on either paper loader.

[Single] After Fibre Gold Silk was no longer available I decided to try the gloss. This paper has beautiful black and white tones and a very nice surface. Just may become my favorite paper. 5

[6.05 lb] Been using this paper since they stopped making the Gold Fibre Silk. Ilford is the only brand I use for my printing purposes and it has been phenomenal for either color or B&W prints. Not the cheapest but my trusted go to paper. 5

[Single] I've tried so many other papers, but keep coming back for this. I've worked with Epson and Canon Printers. This paper has the weight, finish even the SMELL of Kodak Kodabromide F Doubleweight (Ilford had a version also) darkroom paper. I see they changed the box, and offer it it a gloss finish. I hope the box is all that's changed, and it comes into stock again soon. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] I like the weight and stiffness of this paper. I've been able to get good results with both color and b/w prints. Its finish is more or less a luster with a very subtle texture. Printer profile from the Ilford website works well (using an epson p800). 5

[Glossy] This size Ilford Galerie smooth gloss paper at 4x6 are almost impossible to find everyplace else. But as usual B&H photo had in stock and ready to ship at the best price as always. 5

[Single] I haven't printed on glossy in ages. I've really been enjoying this paper. Has a nice sheen to it. Mostly been using this for snapshots. Makes lovely black and whites. And I've been happy with color rendering. ICC profile can be downloaded from Ilford website, and it seems to be pretty good. 5
