This 44" x 49' roll of Awagami Mitsumata Double-Layered Inkjet Paper Roll 44x49has a smooth and elegant look with Washi fibers that contain insect repellent material. Mitsumata has a smooth surface which contains fine fibers that give off a delicate luster. Mitsumata Double-Layered is a two layered paper which can be peeled into two sheets after printing.

The material on the front side is made by Mitsumata and the back side is wooden pulp. The thickness is indicated before it is peeled into two sheets. After it is peeled, it will be approximately 1/3 of its unpeeled thickness. It is recommended for use when printing scroll paintings. It is also good to use for any artwork and printing replicas.

A: You could, but this paper is meant for use in an ink jet printer. If you are just trying to paint on paper, without using it for ink jet prints in some type of mixed media process, then I would recommend using a fine art paper. I have used this paper for mixed media projects using acrylic paint, guache, and colored pencils. Keep in mind that Epson does not consider this archival paper.

Q: 3. Is this paper coated for inkjet printing?

A: Yes. The Awagami Factory Bamboo 110 Inkjet Paper is coated for inkjet printing.

Q: 4. Is this acid-free or PH neutral?

A: This paper is not acid-free. Also, pH is a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions in auqueous solution. If more hydrogen ions are introduced, the balance goes toward an acidic solution. If more clacium carbonate is added, the solution becomes more alkaline. Buffers, such as the bonding on this paper, is hydrogen-based and adds to the acidic value of this paper. So it is not pH-balanced, or neutral.

A: Yes, this paper can be used with dye based inks.

A: Yes, this paper type would be slightly sticky

A: GSM is an acronym standing for 'Grams per Square Meter'. Quite simply, it allows you to know exactly about the quality of paper that is being ordered. The higher the GSM number, the heavier the paper.

[95 gsm] I love this paper. I'm an artist, focused on geometric pattern, mostly printed on Japanese papers the last few years. Inbe Thin is indeed very thin and delicate. It has a beautiful subtle texture. 5

[Matte] Great paper for a lot of paper crafts. Inkjet print great on it. You will see the paper comes a bit larger than the 8x11 but I just cut off the extra by aligning up an 8x11 on it. 5

[Matte] I included a 20 sheet package of this Awagami paper in a larger order from B&H about two years ago. I had never used the paper before, but had read about it and wanted to give it a try. Well, I finally got around to trying it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised with my first few prints. Using my Epson 3880 inkjet paper, the results were excellent. This paper will be my first choice in matte papers from now on. 5

[10.02 lb] I used a 1922 Austrian woodblock print as the background for a business card. Inbe Thick is about 32 lb paper, the thickest that will go through my b&w laser printer. I've printed on it, torn it, soaked it in water. Its very strong, it tears cleanly and it has a superb subtle, very subtle, texture and its smooth and feels really good. Awagami is a special company. They have about twenty different papers made just for digital printing. Inbe is the whitest. Theres no bleach or brighteners. B&h delivered twenty pages of thick inbe for a little less than forty dollars. I've made a commitment to have Awagami paper. 5
