Designed for law enforcement, the PatrolEyes 1080p IR Body Camera DVRfrom PatrolEyes 1080p IR Body Camera DVRrecords video, stills, and audio in day or night settings with immediate playback options. With a camera and DVR, the kit captures video footage in 1920 x 1080 resolution and stills in up to 16MP, with a 3-photo burst option. The camera uses a 3.7mm lens to capture scenes in a 120° angle of view. It also features integrated automatic IR LEDs for nighttime recording, which will automatically power on in dark conditions. IR LEDs allow the camera to record subjects in black and white up to 24' away. The camera can be set to record using its 1-touch on-camera button or the included RF remote control. The DVR features a 2.7" LCD screen for immediate video playback, and an integrated SD slot for recording footage to SD cards as large as 32GB. Footage is automatically date and time stamped and can be set to show an officer's ID number for further organization and tamperproofing. The camera is enclosed in a metal case for versatility and can be fixed to a shirt or vest using the attached 360° rotating clip. A protective case is included for the DVR which can be kept safe in a pocket or clipped to a belt.

A: The battery is built into the camera and is covered under the camera's two year warranty. The clip is not covered but replacement clips can be purchased separately. The camera and software are compatible with Mac OS 10.14 or later

A: No it doesn't have any External memory options

Q: 3. Does this work while charging? My thought process is possibly using this as a dashcam and wearing when needed.

A: I don't see a reason why not and none of the documentation say anything one way or the other, however, it does say that while the unit is plugged into the charger then it is not water resistant.

[0.4 oz / 10.0 g] Some complain of its weight, it has big batteries giving the absolute longest recording time of 10 hours and more. Others complain how when uploading recorded files the user cannot delete files freely, since integrity of the user must be at its highest there should be zero access to delete any files. The rugged body and solid nature give a huge amount of confidence. My team has made several purchases of this particular camera and are fully pleased by its performance. [1.45 lb] Here's how to use it: Hold the power button down for 2 seconds and it turns ON and starts buffering video. When something happens, double click the same button and recording starts. When the incident is over, double click the same button once more. At the end of the day, plug the camera into your computer's USB port with the cable provided and the files show up in file explorer just like a thumb drive. Copy/Paste/Delete as normal. Could not be easier. Picture is great! 5

[3.7mm] I am the operations manager for a security company in North Carolina and I purchased this camera back when it was first released on the market as a replacement for the DrivePro Body 10 that I lost during an altercation at our nightclub contract. When it was first released, I experienced a few issues with the DrivePro Toolbox but I expected that as it was a new product for Transcend. The problems I experienced were quickly rectified by Transcend as the camera picked up more users. The only problem I have is with the app; however, it's not a deal breaker for me I prefer to have everything on the computer so I can transfer it to a flash drive to submit to the police and courts as evidence. Compared to the Body 10, which is a great camera itself, the Body 30 is far superior. With Image Stabilization and Auto IR turned on you are guaranteed to never miss what you intend to record as the IR only activates in extremely low lighting. With Stealth Mode activated you can sneak up on situations to determine what's going on before anyone involved in the situation even knows that you are there or you can turn it on to trick someone into thinking that you have stopped recording. All in all, I love this camera and am looking forward to continuing to use it in the field. As a side note for the people who are complaining about the beeping and buzzing the camera makes being audible in their recordings, that is not limited to this camera. I work closely with Officers from CMPD and they have told me that the AXON (Taser) body cameras that they are issued do it as well. 5
