Store and protect six lenses with the black ZEISS Milvus Transport Case Black | Compact & Durablefrom ZEISS. Inside the case is a foam insert with six openings for inserting ZEISS inlays. Inlays are purchased separately and custom-shaped to fit the ZEISS lens line. For waterproofing, the case has a neoprene O-ring. Made of copolymer polypropylene, the case is resistant to shock and impact. There's a handle on top for easy carrying, and on either side of the handle are openings for user-supplied padlocks.

A: Unfortunately the Astra will not fit. The Astra is about 2 inches taller than every other brand of 1x1, so it is a little too tall for the case.

A: Yes it is pick & pluck.

Q: 4. Will the Zeiss mini lens gears mounted to the lenses fit in the inlays?

A: The LensGears need to be removed from the lens before storing inside of the inlay openings.

Q: 5. is there an options for a 100mm otus insert? It fits in fourth space using foam around, but not nearly as stable.

A: There is not option on the ZEISS Otus Transport Case to get foam for the Otus 100mm lens.

Q: 6. can you buy the Zeiss bag only ?

A: It looks like the interior bag is not sold separately.

Q: 7. Will this case fit the older style Zeiss SLR lenses (inlays) as I have 3, I'm looking for a case that will support those as well as a 100 Milvus? Thanks Phil.

A: Yes, the new case will fit both the ZEISS 'Classic' as well as the new Milvus lenses. There are specific inlays available for each lens type, which hold it securely within one of the six openings.

Q: 8. no lids organizer for 1730 series ??! ... planning to purchase 1730 for briefcase purpose because i'll study overseas in Japan & need to bring more stuff so i can pack it all in one briefcase ...

A: Unfortunately, there are no lid organizers made for the 1730 case.

Q: 9. Is this IP67 rated?

A: According to the manufacturer, the ZEISS Otus Transport Case has successfully been tested for IP67 . This means dust- and waterproof (water to 1 meter/ half an hour dry).

Q: 10. How many layers of foam are in this case?

A: There are 6 pieces total: 2 in the lid and 4 pieces of Pick N' Pluck.

[Handle] Solid case, but heavy. Everything came in working order and shipped fast. Good Price too. I use it to hold my 10' x 20' canopy. 5

[Handle] Ordered 3 of these cases to be used primarily for watertight, airtight, lockable storage with the ability to also use for transport. They can be stacked. Lots of usagable space so you need to be careful not to load the case to make it impossible to lift. The lid comes off which is helpful. These are very large. I could only fit two of them in the bed of my Ford Ranger extended cab with a topper. 5

[Handle] I am involved in cowboy action shooting, and normally take 2-3 rifles, 2 shotguns and 2-4 revolvers on a trip. This case allows me to make one trip to move the firearms into the hotel at night, instead of numerous trips with several cases. As with all Pelican cases, sturdy, secure and mobile. 5

[Latch] Super well made waterproof airtight case. Will mostly use for storage. Can be used for transport but since the case is really big one would need to be careful not to load it so heavy that it would require multiple people to lift it. I like the fact that the lid is completely removable rather than being hinged. 5

[Precut Foam] This inlay fits the Milvus 1.4/50 lens perfectly. It inserts in any of the positions of the carrying case and will hold the lens upright. The only thing missing is some sort of identification on top of the inlay so one knows which lens to put in which position; otherwise does the job as advertised. 5
