You can capture detailed close-up shots of coral, parrot fish, and pygmy seahorses at depths as great as 300', thanks to Aquatica Flat Mini Macro Port for Canon Nikon Sony Lensesfor select prime lenses. It's compatible with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 and EF-S 60mm f/2.8, as well as the Nikon AF/AF-S Micro 60mm and 105mm f/2.8. Additionally, the port is compatible with Aquatica's line of extension rings, and can accommodate the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 lens when used with an extension. For complete details, see the port charts linked below. A bayonet mount enables connection to Aquatica's underwater housings for Canon and Nikon DSLRs and Sony mirrorless cameras.

The Mini Macro Port tapers from the rear to the front, creating a slimmer shape that won't block the light of your strobes or video lights. This feature allows you to place your lights closer to your camera and your subjects for better illumination in super-macro shooting.

The port features a flat glass front element, which does not correct for the underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer--thus providing ample magnification for close-up images. The 77mm front filter threads enable the attachment of optional add-on lenses to get you even closer to your subjects, so as to virtually eliminate distortion caused by the water. With a step-down ring, you can add accessory lenses with 67mm threads, as well.

A four-point bayonet mount on the front of the port allows for the connection of Aquatica's optional Flip Holder, which makes it possible to keep your close-up lens attached at all times and flip it into place easily whenever you want to use it. For even more versatility, an optional double-hinged holder lets you connect two lenses of different magnifications to the same frame.

Built for durability, especially resistance to corrosion by seawater, the compact port body is made of an anodized aluminum alloy.

Q: 1. Will i still have access to manual focus and will i still have access to aperture and will i still have access to ISO?

A: Yes. You can set your lens to manual focus. You will have control of your aperture and ISO. They work great!

Q: 3. With this device, what improvement is there to the close focus ratio? Discuss the pros and cons?

A: This is a. good little tool for the price- It has no elements so it relies on the clarity of the lens glass entirely without clarity loss. Im not sure precisely how it alters the close focus ratio in terms of a ratio, but of course it i creasess it because otherwise you wouldnt be able to focus on the object in a macro way--- if your question is, does it distort or alter the look of the focal length my answer would be no, but my experience is that it facilotates different looks with different lenses (tested 28-200 and zooms as well), my advice would be to experiment--- The only con I sont believe is any fault of the device--- that is that you generally pick/up a limited depth of field inherent to the close macro effect, which you may or may not like working with or around....

Q: 4. Hello. Will they fit on the nifty fifty, canon 50mm 1.8 STM lens? And my Canon 6d?

A: You will need to add the Aquatica Port Extension. Right now the lens has to be used autofocus only. Aquatica is working on a set of focus rings that are compatible with that port.

Q: 6. Hello, do you sell the front cover and gear cover too? Thanks Regards Antonio

A: We do sell certain focus gears and other accessories to go with this port. Please reach out to our personnel by phone, chat, or email with specific information regarding the lens(es) with which you'd use those as they are lens-specific.

Q: 7. Given that there are no electrical connections passed between body and lens, couldn't it also be used on film SLRs?

[1.375 lb] I recently added the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 macro to my underwater lens lineup, and this port was a must-have. I took it out Sunday afternoon for a shallow dive in Crystal River for small fish photography. The results were amazing. Beware that when placing it on the extender for the first time, you will trap air inside the housing that will pop this port back off. My solution was to unbuckle the main seal clamps on the back of the housing, so any trapped air could escape out the back. Just make sure you then check the rear o-ring for any extrusions before clamping the main plate back on.

I'm using this with a Sony A6500 and Sony FE90mm f/2.8 macro and couldn't be happier with the results! Depending on your lens selection, you may also need one of these:

[77 mm] I purchased only the +10 lense with the adapter. The optics are excellent and the adapter is very convenient, as it can stay on the port ,while the lense is in your bc pocket. If needed, the 67 mm thread fits any inon lense caddy ! A very functional design !
