The black, empty LensCoat LensSack Pro Beanbag Support Forest Green Camofrom LensCoat LensSack Pro Beanbag Support Forest Green Camoprovides a stable base for lenses up to 800mm. It has a removable mounting plate with a 3/8"-16 thread so that you can attach a gimbal or other tripod head to the beanbag. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the best type of head to put on this? I initially thought of using some type of Gimbal head, but a salesman recommended a Sirui pan and tilt head. Any recommendations?

A: It depends on the type of shooting. If your doing video as well as photo, then a pan and tilt head or gimbal would be good, if your just shooting photo a ball head would work well.

Q: 2. How many bags of poly beads are needed?

A: The LensCoat LensSack Pro Beanbag Support measures 11 x 8 x 7.5", which is 10.82 liters. It is not an exact rectangle though; there is an opening at the bottom that will reduce the size of the bean bag. The Kinesis Poly Bead Fill for SafariSack 4.2 (B&H # KIR142) is 4.2 liters—I would recommend buying two bags.

Q: 3. Will this fit on my Gitzo GT5543XLS with LensCoat LegCoat Wrap 518?

A: The LensCoat LegCushion (Realtree Max4) fits the Gitzo GT5543XLS Systematic Series 5 Carbon Fiber Tripod with the LensCoat LegCoat Wraps 518.

Q: 4. it's come Empty or Filled with Sunflower Seeds?

A: It comes empty. We filled with plastic chips we bought at Hobby Lobby. Took quite a few bags. Kinda expensive but they won't mold or grow anything. ( you could look for larger bags online or eBay )

Q: 5. Will the attachment straps for this fit a Gitzo 5 series tripod over existing Lenscoat LegCoat wraps (LW514M4)?

A: Yes, the attachment straps for the LensCoat LegCushion (Realtree Max4) will fit a Gitzo 5-series tripod over the existing LensCoat LegCoat Wraps 514 (Set of 3, Realtree MAX-4), B&H # LELW514M4.

Q: 6. will this fit correctly on my gitzo GT2530 EX tripod?

A: The LensCoat LegCushion (Realtree Max4) is compatible with Gitzo 3, 4, and 5 series tripods, so it will not fit the Gitzo GT2530 EX tripod.

Q: 7. Will this fit over tripod leg protectors from Lens Coat and still support holding the tripod ?

A: According to Lenscoat's website it is shown in use without the leg protectors. I do not think the velcro attachment from the leg cushion will wrap firmly around the the leg with a protector on.

Q: 8. Is this just the inside pad or will have the leg neoprene pad ds too?

A: The LensCoat LegCushion is a pad and cover in one. It is made with LensCoat shock-absorbing foam and water-resistant Cordura and polyester material.

Q: 9. Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens effectively attaching it so it can be moved with the lens?

A: Generally, the strap in the center of the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support would not need to be wrapped around the lens in order to support it. The lens would simply rest on the Beanbag for support. Whether the strap is long enough to wrap around the lens would depend on the lens being used with it.

Q: 10. What about sewing quality and quality of materials? Does sewing damage with time?

A: We cannot say how long this will last as there are way too many variables on how one uses it. But LensCoat makes a good product and is a good company.

[Cordura] I used it on my last trip to Africa, I is really perfect specially when photographing from the car with a big telephoto.

[1.35 lb] I recommend filling with something not heavy like buckwheat husks but works great with anything just can get pretty heavy. Especially with a wimberley gimbal attached but I love the stability with 200-600 Sony, 1.4x tele, and Sony a7riv with grip.

[1.35 lb] I've used this product with my 600mm lens when shooting from a vehicle. It's heavy enough (when filled with birdseed) to remain stable, even when raising or lowering the window to position the lens. I travel by air with it empty and fill it when I arrive at my destination. A rolled hotel towel(s) will reduce the volume of seed needed. I prefer this to the smaller version and feel it cradles my lens -a feature I find comforting from a lens-safety standpoint (as opposed to my puffinpad or pool noodle DIY's). While I find the product line somewhat pricey, all lens coats, covers, tripod leggings etc are always quality products. I endorse them.

[1.35 lb] It is quite flexible, if you want, it can not only be used as regular bean bag and also you can mount a gimbal head on it.

[1.35 lb] Dear bhphotovideo-Team,

fast - faster - supersonic FASTEST!!! ....

I orderd last sunday this incredibel Lensesack (no available in Germany with the digital camo style) for my Sigma 300-800 5.6 (global nickname "sigmonster"... I call it "lovely stovepipe", but I'm from Germany ) sponsored last February with a matching 4digits at local lucky spiral game (lottery) win.

To bh: in my mind and experience based conviction, your dealer self-understanding, processes and webside are the best possible globalization face of retail trade business... and: the lenssack comes in an appropriately sized and protective box in less than (shipment net) 100h to Wiesbaden/Germany, included customs...maybe with a new Concorde, sustainable hydrogen driven

Thank you very much and kind regards to NY
Markus
