[f/2] Was looking to upgrade from my 15-45mm kit lens, the XF 35mm was the perfect choice. The focusing felt faster when doing portraits and the aperture was adequate for capturing the aurora borealis over the Northeast a few weeks back. Highly recommend any beginner photographer choose this to develop their craft.

[f/2] I was on the fence whether to purchase this or the less expensive XC model. After reading the reviews I opted to go with this model. The build quality is awesome, I liked the fact that it is weather sealed and that it has an aperture ring. It pairs well in size and weight with my X-E3 and it's performance is fabulous. Sharp at f/2 with beautifully silky DOF. A great lens at an affordable price. If you are hesitating, just buy it. You will not be disappointed.

[Autofocus] I moved back to Fuji f/2 primes after using the 16-55mm zoom for a couple of years. The zoom was fine for landscape work but too big for the street. Classic focal length and great build quality. Rated suitable by Fuji for use with the new 40mp sensors.

[f/2] I absolutely love this lens. It’s lightweight and very powerful. The images I pump out of my X-T30 using this lens are amazing.

[43 mm (Front)] It's my first fujifilm lens and I was very happy with the sharpness and build quality!

[9, Rounded] For the first 50 years of serious photography, I used Nikons. When I was told I could make a living with portraiture, I also shot with Hasselblads. 

In my semi-retirement, I decided to go with the Fujifilm system. Though I have a few other Fujifilm lenses for my Fujifilm X-Pro2, I wanted to spend time going back to basics. And this lens reminded me of the photos of Cartier-Bresson using a normal lens on his Leica. He referred to that moment as the decisive moment.
And here's the thing. I love seeing the same thing through the viewfinder that I see with the naked eye. I love shooting with a Fuji 23mm F2, as well. But this 35mm F2 takes me back to my early days in the 1960s when my first serious camera was a Pentax Spotmatic with a 50MM lens.

Certainly, my zoom lenses have provided versatility, but the primes allow me to quickly respond to that 'decisive moment. And this lens sees what I see. I've also been shooting a few portraits since recently purchasing this lens from B&H, where I have shopped for photo gear since about 1984.

At 79, I have been shooting for more than 60 years; professionally for more than 30 years. After spending a few weeks with this 35mm F2, it is becoming my go-to lens for street, portraits, and photojournalism. Thanks, Fuji. And thanks, B&H!

[FUJIFILM X] Bought this lens for my x-t30 II and love it, I use it most of the time. I learned photography on a 35mm film camera back in school, so this is a great starter prime lens for me.

[Autofocus] Small and light. Works great on a small camera body. Takes great pictures. Very happy with it.
