Q: 2. I've plugged this in to my recorder via the Senal PS-48B-35H Phantom Power Supply that's listed as a recommended accessory for this mic, with 48V phantom power turned on. However, I'm getting a very very low signal from the microphone, peaking at around -32Db even with the gain on my recorder turned all the way up. Did I get a dud or is there something I've missed here?

A: So you checked the gain, have you checked the fader? Is their a pad setting switched on the recorder or the Senal? My last suggestion is to check the voltage of LR44 batteries. Maybe they're about dead. Try switching to providing phantom power from the recorder.

Q: 3. Is it possible to connect this XLR system into Wireless EW Sennheiser? What would be the appropriate adapter ?

A: The Sanken COS-11D miniature omnidirectional lavalier mic with XLR output will not work with a Sennheiser EW wireless transmitter. You would actually need it to be wired with a 3.5mm male, trs locking connector. We currently carry the COS-11D wired for the Sennheiser EW wireless system. The B&H catalog number is SAC11WNSETRB.

A: No accessories will be included with this version.

A: I have not used this Tascam model with the Sanken COS 11D but have used it with the Tascam DR-40 and other professional recorders. It's a great sounding lav mic and easy to hide.

Q: 6. Does this work and lock with the Tascam DR-10L?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector is not advised for use with the Tascam DR-10L, as it requires 3V of plugin power at a minimum and the DR-10L can only provide 2V.

A: No, the Sony wiring of this mic is not compatible with the RodeLink. Here's a Sennheiser wired version of the COS-11D that would be compatible B&H # SAC11WNSETRB.

A: Yes it is compatible. Yes you should notice an improvement in quality.

A: Unfortunately this mic is not compatible with the RodeLink wireless system. In addition using the mic with devices other than the specified Sennheiser wireless transmitter is not guaranteed to operate and not recommended. Sanken does not currently offer a mic designed to be used with portable digital recorders via 3.5mm jack.

A: Unfortunately they are not. Sanken makes the COS-11D for many wireless systems. If you don't see the name of your system listed. Then it is not made for you're system. All 3.5mm connectors are not wired the same. Because it's made for Sennheiser doesn't mean it's wired for your 3.5mm system.
