Q: 1. Can you put negatives on both sides of the page or only the front ? I am trying to figure out how many negatives can be stored on the 25 pages so I will know how many to order.Thanks!

A: No, you should only put one strip of negatives in the individual sleeve. If you put 2 they will rub against each other and destroy the emulsion. Also if you did put 2 you can't see the negative properly.

However, they state that in reality, all plastic is acid free and lignin free. Lignin is a substance in wood pulp that breaks down into acids. As such, acid- and lignin free is appropriately asked about paper products, not plastic products.

Q: 3. the boxes I store my photos are only 7 inches wide will these envelopes fit?

A: The photo archive envelopes I bought from B&H item no. 29-46PN are 7 1/4 wide and so would not fit in a 7' box.

Not cheap, but archival protection never is--these are highly recommended for everyone from the home scrapbooker to families archiving family photos. 5

[Flap] Huh! Like I'll have any needs in the next 50 years. This product approximates the type of envelopes my prints and negatives have been in for the last 50 years without the ink and other chemicals that would affect the contents. I'm scanning all of my negatives and storing in these for someone else in the future. I also use Print File 35-10E4 Archival Storage Sleeve for 35mm Negatives (25-Pack) for the negatives. The combination works well for me. 5

[0.5 lb] I’ve been using this product for years, but not too many online stores carry them anymore, opting to sell plastic “envelopes” instead, which I dislike. B&H has the lowest price that I could find. Hope they never stop selling these. 5

[Text Paper] I've been using these for years to organize prints going back decades. Big enough to hold more than 36 prints and plenty of room to write any information you want to record. they also hold negatives if you want to store both together. 5
