A: The AJA Rackmount Shelf for Ki Pro Ultra (2 RU) does not come with a blank filler for only mounting a single AJA Ki Pro Ultra 12G DCI/UHD/HD Recorder and Player (SDI, HDMI).

Q: 6. In order to file transfer ProRes over USB 3.0 to PC and eventually NAS, will I need to install MacDrive software on my PC?

A: You will need a driver to read. The ki pro formats the drives as hfs+

Q: 8. Can anyone with this item please confirm that the 4 red battery lights DO NOT blink in sequence when the power is flowing? Mine do not blink,. but the manual says they should blink in sequence when the power is flowing out. I also have the smaller power tank, the next mosdel down, and the blue lights on that do blink when powering something. Thanks

A: The 4 red battery lights in the PowerTank Lithium Pro do not blink in sequence when power is flowing. The PowerTank Lithium's 4 blue lights will blink in sequence when power is flowing. We are looking into revising the manual.

Q: 9. Anyone have try this PowerTank Lithium Pro output for the mount, dew heater tape x2 and the CCD filter wheel running at the same time?

A: Sorry no one has tested it in regards to your specifics

Q: 10. Are the USB ports on this a PD rated managed power delivery port? In other words, does it have circuitry that senses draw and regulates output to avoid damaging gear?

A: Yes, it dose. It has to be plugged into a devise that is drawing 1 amp or more. It also has an emergency shut-off.

[NEMA 5-15] I purchased Kipro in Dec. 2009 and later on felt my requirement of larger storage drives than the one came with Kipro; I opted for this storage module because I am under budget; the solid state media is beyond my budget; I am pleased for BH Photovideo's competitive price for this module. Fantastic product and I highly reccomend this if you want larger back up storage for your Kipro and at the same time, you are budget conscious. 5

[12 to 18 VDC] Bought this device to replace my other AJA hardrive that stopped working only to realize that after buying it I didn't really need it. I didn't need it because I then called AJA's tech support and they bent over backwards to send me a BRAND NEW one and went ahead and replaced the other one I had due to some problems they'd been having with the older models. AJA has the BEST Customer Service ever and I will be buying more of their products. By the way I kept this drive as a backup. 5

[NEMA 5-15] We use the AJA drives for live truck commercial reel broadcasts during college football season. The drives are reliable and easy to use. They hold a ton of storage and are very durable.The specific codec for the media required by the KI Pro deck leaves many users confused about export settings. 5

[1.82 lb] This is our 2nd reel; just plugged it in and it became available within seconds. We often use it as a safety recording device. We just let it run for a full day so that nothing is missed in the studio. 5

[NEMA 5-15] My go-to standard for recorders. I have used other rack-mounted recorders like the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio and the Aja KiPro Rack outshines them all. My older KiPro is still going strong from 2012! 5

[1.82 lb] Our two KiPro's are in constant use with out HD multi camera switcher packages. Mor drives at a reasonable price is essential to long programs. The 500GB drive is just what we needed. We will me ordering more soon. 5

[NEMA 5-15] We have replaced all tape machines with Ki Pro decks. Since we use Apple Pro Res they fit perfectly with our work flow. We use both 250GB and 500GB depending on location and project. We have had great success with both and no problems since purchasing the first units over three years ago. Great and dependable units. 5
