The black, redesigned Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 Tripod with XPRO Geared Headfrom Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 Tripod with XPRO Geared Headbuilds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190XPRO4's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.2" for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include grippy, rubber leg warmers on two legs for cold or inclement weather and a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.

One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.

The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.

The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.

Each leg has user selection of four angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.

The entire shape of the tripod has been modified and made more manageable and stylish. The complete redesign of its functional elements shows a particular attention to aesthetics and details: the brand name, for example, appears in many sections of the new 190, including the two legwarmers made of comfortable rubber to provide a secure grip and prevent the conduction of heat and cold in extreme weather conditions.

A: Goes right on the the D5600, no adapter needed.

A: It doesn't

Q: 4. Is the Manfrotto 055 Magnesium Ball Head with RC4 Quick Release compatable with this tripod?

A: Yes, the Manfotto 055 Magnesium Ball Head is compatible with this tripod.

Q: 5. Why the ball head cannot removed from the tripod itself with the setscrew unscrewed already?

A: Sorry for the late response, the head can be removed by backing out the set screw under the ball head then you must ensure the black lever for the ball head rotatation is screwed in firmly, then rotate the head counter clockwise to remove.

Q: 6. Despite having an extra segment per leg, the MT190XPRO4 has the same max height & support weight as the MT190XPRO3. Is one better or more desirable than the other? What difference does an extra segment make, if it doesn't extend further? Is it just extra moving parts (and potential points for mechanical failure), or is there a benefit?

A: The addition of the extra segment allows the tripod to fold down smaller. 20.7 vs 24

Q: 7. Can I mount my old Manfrotto 488RC2 ball head on this 190XPro4 tripod?

A: Yes you can

Q: 8. In the pictures of this tripod there is a small Manfrotto light on the Manfrotto 237HD Heavy-Duty Flex Arm. What is model and name of that Manfrotto light? Also why aren't they both in the acessories list for this tripod? Thanks

A: The light depicted in the photos is the Manfrotto Spectra 2 on-camera light, which you can see on our website here: https://bhpho.to/3R7kB4b Regarding their inclusion into the list of recommended accessories, we will pass this onto our web content team! Thank you for your feedback!

Q: 9. Can this tripod hold steady with a heavier longer lens 70-200 or larger

A: My answer is a definite maybe . I've used the tripod regularly with a 1DX and 70-200 lens without any issues. It's the or larger part of your question that drives my maybe answer. I wouldn't have any concerns with a 100-400, 28-300 or lenses of that size. I would not, however, use this tripod for any of the Canon super telephoto lenses such as 200-400 or larger. Hope that helps!

Q: 10. Is the Manfrotto 502HD Pro Video Head with Flat Base compatible with this tripod?

A: I'm not sure. i have a MHSPRO-BHQ6 head that is compatible with the Manfrotto 190 tripod.

[4] I bought this for real estate photography so I can have the stability and extra height with the lever to increase height to use with the arc Swiss d4 gear head. This tripod will last for years and worth the dollars. It’s not too heavy and feels durable.

[4] After using my old 3011 for quite a few years it was time for a new tripod have to say the high standards are still high.
Tried the 475 right out of the box the geared head is just what I expected.
Its a bit on the heavy side but solid as a rock and very versatile most of my work is out side in the winter in Alaska I had to get a bigger sled.
Works well in the cold the adjustment locks along with all other adjustments are easy to operate with gloves.
One of my concerns with the plastic looking locks breaking in the extreme cold (below -35),they hold up on my other Manfrotto products.

[4] I am using this tripod to hold a 90mm widefield refractor on a TeleVue Cradle. All my other tripods shook the view whenever I touched the focus. This tripod is a bit beefier than all the previous yet still light enough to carry even when Telescope Mounted. I might not want to carry it on a 5 mile hike but other than that this thing is perfect for my use.
