The black, redesigned Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod XPRO Headfrom Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod XPRO Headbuilds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor. When the three leg sections and center column are fully extended, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 63", and its load capacity of 33 lb makes it a good choice for larger cameras. The tripod weighs 3.6 lb, and folds down to 20.6" for transport.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190CXPRO4's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.2" for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.

One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.

The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.

The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.

Each leg has user selection of four angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What does it weight--the listing gives 2 values

A: The legs are 3.5 lbs. and the head is 1.1 lbs. Total weight would then be 4.6 lbs.

Q: 2. Does it have a hook to hang something to weight it down?

A: The hook is actually a knob. It's on the side, between the legs. Since this tripod is made to be used at odd angles, and the center post trips to the side for copy work or odd backpacking fauna documenting, the knob is strategically placed in such away to allow all angles and uneven surfaces. It's excellent. May I suggest a ball-head to complete the versatility!? It's the best set-up I've ever had. I actually use my tripod now! Light and functional.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with the Canon 7D Mark II Digital Camera?

A: Yes this tripod and head can definitely hold a Canon EOS 7D Mark II.

Q: 4. Is this tripod compatible with the nodal ninja system? Specifically the M1-L.

A: Yes, it is compatible and attaches correctly. As a tip: some customers also attach a leveler in between the tripod and the M1-L so that they can level-out the horizon without having to adjust the length of each tripod leg, instead.

Q: 5. Does this maintain its sturdiness/stability at its fully extended height with camera and telephoto lens like Sony A7RIV & 100-400mm or is the M a Manfrotto 055 a better choice for that?

A: Yes, its very stable fully extended.

Q: 6. Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 is it still made in Italy?

A: Yes, it is.

Q: 7. does this combo come with the 200PL Release plate? It only mentions "system"

A: Yes. The "In The Box" section under the Overview tab on our website indicates that the Manfrotto XPRO Magnesium Ball Head with the 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate (along with the MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod and the Limited 6-Month Warranty, Extendable to 10 Years with Product Registration) is included with the purchase of the Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod w/ XPRO Ball Head w/ 200PL Quick Release System, B&H # MAMT190CXP4K.

Q: 8. Is there any difference between this product (tripod with MHXPRO-BHQ2 XPRO Ball Head with 200PL) and the link below? https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183086-REG/manfrotto_190cxpro4_carbon_fiber_3.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183086-REG/manfrotto_190cxpro4_carbon_fiber_3.html/a

A: Yes, the material is carbon.

Q: 9. Is this head compatible with a Canon 6D?

A: Yes, you can use this tripod head with a Canon 6D.

Q: 10. The Gear Head has 2 screws that goes into the camera at the same time is this correct?

A: The screws can be removed. You would use the size you need for the camera you are using.

[Flip Lock] The Manfrotto tripod is incredibly stable but light. The pan/tilt head is just what I need in the studio.

[Flip Lock] Coming from a 3 legged thing tripod to this one. There are a few features that I prefer on the frotto and vise versa. When fully extended with a large head the Manfrotto might be too tall for a lot of people. I am 6 feet and the setup is the right height for me to use my scope without having to bend over. All in all a quality product.

[4] First time out was a night shoot with a Canon 5D and heavy lens. Handled the weight well and is easy to set up in the dark. Adjustments are smooth and easy to operate in darkness. An excellent purchase, one I recommend.

[Flip Lock] Still getting used to knob locations, but pleased with build quality and operation. Also, the plate mounts differently than my last Manfrotto, but it seems secure.

[Carbon Fiber] The tripod alone is suprisingly light, but its construction appears first rate. The ball head has similar attributes and seems to offer very secure positioning, adjustment of the frictional forces on the ball, and easy attachment of one camera using the quick release (additional release fitments are available, if desired). Rather expensive, but the cost is reflected in the unit and comparable tripods are hardly cheap. Delivery from B&H was rapid and the packaging, excellent, as expected.

[Flip Lock] I have several tripods but either they’re too small or
too heavy. This new tripod is a vast improvement
over my older ones combining the latest design and its lightweight carbon fiber material makes it a joy to use.
