Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can i add additional 3 mic to the receiver?

A: no, you need one receiver for each microphoneon the plus side, these mics sound BEAUTIFUL

Q: 2. can it be shipped to india?

A: Unfortunately as an Authorized US Shure Dealer we are prohibited by the Manufacturer from shipping their products to addresses outside of the United States.

Q: 3. When setting the receivers, side by side, where and how do I mount the antennas?

A: If mounting two BLXR receivers side by side, it is possible to front mount antennas in the rack with the UA440 kit. You can also passively combine the antennas with the UA221 kit.

Q: 4. i have same receiver with 2 mics that comes with it already. if I buy a third mic, would it be able to work with same receiver?

A: The number of microphones that a specific Shure BLX receiver can communicate with at one time is limited by the number of audio channels on the receiver. Shure offers single and dual-channel receivers in their BLX line, but does not offer a model that will receive signal from three Shure BLX2/PG58 Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitters with PG58 Capsule at one time.

Q: 5. Please advice which SD cards work with the PXW-X180 Sony video camera

A: Any current class 10 SD would work. For the work this camera is supposed to do, I would recomend this kind of card, Sony 64GB Ultra-High Durability Professional SDXC UHS-I Memory Card (Class 10) B&H # SOPSD64GB.

Q: 6. Will this work with SLX-D14 receivers?

A: Yes, the Shure SLXD2/SM58 Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule is compatible with the SLXD14 receiver.

Q: 7. Qual país fabricante

A: El pais de origen es China.

Q: 8. We have 2 BLX4/SM52 systems, with the frequency range of 584-608. We need a replacement mic. I see that the receiver range is now divided between 2 mic bands, H11:572-596 and J11:596-616. Does it matter which band mic I get?

A: As long as both the Shure BLX4 Wireless Receiver and the Shure BLX2/SM58 Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule are tuned to the same frequency, the transmitter and receiver will be able to communicate together. So for a BLX4 Receiver with a frequency band of 584 to 608 MHz, you can use a BLX2/SM58 Transmitter that operates on the H11 band of 572 to 596 MHz or a BLX2/SM58 Transmitter that operates on the J11 band 596 to 616 MHz.

Q: 9. What Frequency Band is best for karaoke?

A: Actually any frequency for this set of Shure, I own 6 Shure packs and they have a range for about 175 Ft . I have the H10 and the J10 series. I use at our Church.

Q: 10. My receiver is a J50 unit. With the J50A be the correct transmitter?

A: Yes, you can use the QLXD2/B87A-J50A transmitter with your QLX-D-J50 or ULX-D-J50 receiver. The FCC recently changed regulations for the frequency band above 616 MHz. This range is no longer available for use by wireless microphones and is now designated for use with broadband. Due to these changes, Shure has discontinued the J50 band (572 to 636 MHz) and replaced it with the J50A band (572 to 608 + 614 to 616 MHz), which covers much of the same bandwidth as J50. Older QLX-D and ULX-D components that operate on the J50 band can be used with newer components operating on the J50A band.

[Handheld] B&H is great. They always have what I need. The product is exactly as advertised. The capsule is a great step up in quality and response from an SM58, or a Beta 87. I have found that this capsule is less prone to high frequency problems that you may find with a KSM9. Both are very nice.

[Auto-Scan] I love this mic. Sounds really excellent in a mix, and whatever bleed from the band actually sounds good and adds something positive - like another nice room mic. Takes EQ very well. I would say it does the things a 58 does for live vocals while sounding like a supercharged SM7. It's pricey, but I'd buy again.

[64 MHz] I use this on a Lectrosonics handheld transmitter. Top quality sound - as good as an unhyped condenser, and a tight polar pattern. And no proximity effect.

[Black] We had an old ULXP from 2007. it still works and everything work fine, but the way this digital captures the audio is so much better.
on the old one i had to give it lots of eq. this new one i only have to eq a little bit. i had to apply lots of gain and high gate on the old one but with this one my gain is not as much and my gate has been lowered significantly. the mic does great at adjusting its own gain. i have not had issue with feedback yet. i love that it uses AA batteries.
so even if you dont buy the rechargable battery pack, you wont spend a fortune on batteries. the old ULXP uses 9v batteries and those are pricey. THe mic feels great in your hand, the metal housing really gives it a different feel. I use the mic on 10mw setting and i havent had issues with transmission. RX is 70 feet away and no issues. i Believe its worth the extra 250 to go from QLXD to ULXD models. if your debating if Q or U, spend the extra 250 and get the U, you wont regret it.

[Black] The Ulxd series from Shure is incredibly fast to setup and sync. After using the uhf-r, these are just way better. You also get 3 transmit power levels in this handle which helps out when your antennas are far away from stage. They are metal housed and very strong. The display is very easy to read, ALTHOUGH, I do like the display on the SLXD better, especially on the transmitter. SLXD has better contrast and easier to read. I have also used the Dante on the Ulxd series. Works great. I have 6 in a rack and one cat6 cable puts them all on the network. No xlr needed if you have a Dante enabled mixer. The available frequencies after a scan in WWB6 are usually around 40-50 in Los Angeles in the g50 band, which is plenty for me. The only thing I would like to see Shure improve on is the battery tray contacts. My frantic customers have broken them several times jamming batteries in sideways. Maybe curl the sides of the contacts more so when they do try and sideways insert it might take the battery without snapping off. Other than that, these handles have been rock solid in the many live performances I have used them on.

[Dynamic] I was reluctant to fork over this much money for a dynamic mic. But I had heard some great things about the KSM8, so I took a chance. I am extremely happy with that decision. Amazing, full sounding mic with a very even and pleasant tone. Plus really good feedback rejection. (i'm not working with blasting monitors as a work in the jazz world, but at the levels I'm performing at, the feedback rejection is superb.) I use it mostly with my wife who has a fairly soft soprano voice and the overall sound is flat and even thoughout the frequency range (though clear and open) with no emphasis or tones that stick out. It's kind of difficult to describe my first impression except to say that it's beefy without being muddy, and still sounding open at the top. It sounds much better than the more expensive Neumann KMS 105 she was using with much better off axis rejection. Best, most even dynamic mic I've ever used.

[Off/On Switch] Very natural sounding and easy (and pricey!) to use vocal microphone. All the stuff about huge sweet spot, controlled proximity effect, and natural midrange is true. OTOH, if you're looking for the 8kHz zing, it's missing in action.
