A: This product has a 3/8"-16 thread, the tripod you use with it will supply the 3/8"-16 screw. This system has an 11 pound load capacity.

Q: 3. Just to clarify, for the vertical jib motion, 140 Seconds is the longest it can take? Not long enough for most timelapse applications.

A: That spec only applies to continuous movement. Time-lapses are not performed in a continuous move instead the jib will only move in between shots. Therefore when set up for time-lapses you can take virtually as long as you want to travel vertically or horizontally as long as the Jib-One has power.

Do they know it's possible to have more than one camera or combine different pieces of equipment? Why is it not MIDI or something more standard? Q: 10. For the vertical jib motion 140 time limit, is specific to the vertical motion, or are there longer time limits for horizontal, etc.?

A: The speed references both horizontal and vertical movement. if it makes it easier interpret the minimum speed as 3.5 mm/second in any direction.

[3.12 lb] So I'm a member of the Longview Film Club, we make short films. Kinda like a community theater with a camera. LOL. We added pretty much the whole EdelKrone ecosystem to our toolkit this year.

The JibOne let's you bring in some very interesting shots. We are always on the lookout for how to spice up reveal shots, cut-ins, and specialty shots. We had a slider system, so Our first EdelKrone purchase was the JobOne and HeadPlus.

The idea was to bring in more vertical motion shots into our repertoire. And the JibOne does that easily.

If you get a tripod that has a good height to it, you can pull of a lot of standard jib shots. We still use a drone for the super high ones, but I'd say 90% of all other vertical shots its faster, easier, and better.

There were some surprises. Even though we watched many, many videos on how to use it, we mistakenly thought the JibOne swiveled about the tripod's center axis. Nope. There is no motor there. Then how did we see it do that?

Well, it's super clever of them. The orientation of the jib is adjustable. For instance if the two parallel bars are directly above and below each other, then when the jib moves it goes up and down.

If the jib is rotated let's say 45 degrees, then it moves from down and left, to up and right. You'd be amazed how many cool shots you can get with this. It's a great reveal shot generator!

Finally if the bars are both parallel to the ground, then it makes a sort of slider-like left and right motion, with a bit of an arc to it. Also, unique and neat!

Combine this jib with the HeadPlus module and you've got a huge set of specialty shots you can generate. It adds a whole new dimension to you standard footage. Embrace the Vertical!

[3.12 lb] I was tossing around with getting a slider or this. I couldn't be happier with this over the slider. So many more variations of shots with the JibOne. Easy to operate and setup. I added the HeadOne to this and get great shots. All their equipment plays well together. I would recommend this over a slider if on a budget and looking to achieve professional results everytime!

[1 x Barrel] I started with the slider, added the headplus pro, and focus module. With this i purchased the pan pro as well and it just made my client's heads turn. The way that we were able to Frankenstein all of these pieces together to make one fluid, accurate, and repeatable motion was amazing. Being able to just move everything where you want it manually and setting a keyframe is absolutely great. I didn't bother with battery powered and just got power cords for all of these and a multi-outlet extension that gives them all power. If i have connectivity issues, I simply reset that outlet and try again. So far, no issues whatsoever. I love love LOVE edelkrone. I know it's a premium price, but it is really a premium product with strong materials. I would 100% make this purchase again. They are often on sale, too, which is how i got my latest two pieces.

[3.12 lb] This along with the Slide Module v3 was my very first Edelkrone purchase. I also purchase a GVM slider. I like the GVM slider and absolutely LOVE the Edelkrone slider. For the Edelkrone, I also have the Edelkrone HeadPLUS v2. With the HeadPLUS v2, you get a whole new dimension of movement. If you need a more simple setup, the GVM is a great choice. If you demand unlimited movement in your shots, in my opinion, you cannot beat the SliderPlus v5/HeadPLUS v2 combination. Yes, much more expensive but. . . .

[3.12 lb] I noticed above 35% speed there's noise from the motor but otherwise great product!

[1 x Barrel] Just the slightest movement takes a shot to another level. I got this to add some value to b roll shots during weddings. Used it last week and just let it go between two shots automatically during the ceremony added enough interest to be worth the investment. It was pretty easy to get up and going and to use, but will require more time to get a great workflow. Looking forward to working with it more.

[1 x Barrel] Like others have stated, I was surprised at the heft of the JibONE. I feel that it is well engineered and thought out. I have it pared with the HeadPLUS v2 and a Sony FX3 and it is like a robot with what it can do either once or continuously. I also have the Edelkrone SliderONE and love both. Also, I have been a B&H customer for 19 years since starting a video production business in 2002. B&H is the ONLY place I will purchase quality equipment such as Edelkrone and other camera equipment. I will visit their NY store some day!!

[3.12 lb] had a GVM slider before this - Edelkrone is expensive but worth every penny. Super fast to set up - I have it with the Slidermotor v3, and two head ones for pan and tilt. Great setup for my Canon EOS R.

[3.12 lb] So I'm a member of the Longview Film Club, we make short films. Kinda like a community theater with a camera. LOL. We added pretty much the whole EdelKrone ecosystem to our toolkit this year.

We replaced our Konova motorized slider with this one. The EdelKrone is so much better. It is perfectly smooth. The software's ramp up and ramp down ensures the there is never a jerk at the beginning or end of the slider's motion.

It is also nearly silent. Not perfectly so, but nearly and very importantly, the frequency is much lower that other sliders. That means that the little noise there is, gets lost in dialog background easily, with no filtering.

If you shoot from several feet away, you should have zero noise coming through from you boom mic. Just don't point the shotgun mic in the direction of the motor. If you use lapel mics (we do both simultaneously) it is never picked up.

We tend to use the slider directly behind an actor on OTS shots. Even that close is dealt with effectively using the above approach.

Any motorized slider will likely have a bit of noise to it, just some small rearrangement of mics drops that to zero.

Before the Slide Module my choice was manual to silent, or having to filter it out in post. With the EdleKrone slider and motor module, you can shoot without fear of the noise!

One last comment on repeatability. We absolutely love how we can film two shots and they come out exactly the same. Its a boon to VFX attempts. Makes CGI / VFX shots that combine real footage with digitally generated footage substantially easier!

Short version .. best slider / motor I've seen yet.
