[USB-A ] The keyboard is actually pretty heavy, underscoring its sturdy construction.  The keyboard is exactly what I was looking for - the same feel as that IBM keyboard I had 15 years ago, just keys and no mushy feel.  My typing is faster and more reliable.  I have only had the keyboard a month, but the construction seems to be very solid, and key spacing is perfect for quick touch typing.  Highly recommended!

[Yes] Great tactile feel, love the integrated functions in the top right corner, and very comfortable to use! Best one for any use, gaming, editing, etc.

[Knob] My previous keyboard was a Realforce Topre keyboard (8 years). Moving to the Das with Cherry MX Brown switches has been a pleasant change.

[Yes] The Cherry MX Brown switches are not noisy and have the right amount of tactile feeling. The build quality of this keyboard is solid and heavy. Mechanical keyboards have the keys higher than normal keyboards and some of the brands include a palm rest in the box. Das Keyboards do not come with it. I purchased a polyurethane palm rest to get the right height.


I'd be happy if they included something in the box for raising your palm, other than that it is a great keyboard!

[6.5' / 2 m] Wonderful touch and sound. Just what I wanted.

[Mechanical] I use my keyboard at the office for everyday typing. The dedicated buttons for music and volume worked upon plugging in the computer with no additional software installation required. The keyboard is very comfortable. It's not an ergonomic one, but the keys work as expected and are gentle to operate so it's easy on my hands. My one comment is that the legs in the back are very low and I prop it up on an extra 1 binder in order to achieve a comfortable angle.

[6.5' / 2 m] This is my second Das Keyboard 4 Professional--the first went to my wife's computer when I rebuilt and upgraded it. This latest model is equipped with the new footbar that has rubber feet, a great improvement in eliminating the tendency for the keyboard to slide around. I contacted Das Keyboard about purchasing the new footbar for our first keyboard. They responded by agreeing to ship one free of charge.

The only downside to these keyboards is the ABS keys will wear shiny and the letters dim after awhile. The solution� is purchasing a set of Doubleshot PBT key caps from WASD Keyboards.com. PBT keycaps don't wear and the letters fade as with ABS keycaps and will permanently restore the keyboard to its original glory.

[Mechanical] This is a beast: solid, beautifully made keyboard with excellent audio controls all grouped together on the right with a wonderful, large volume dial. Typing is FAST with great tactile feedback. I gave up on thin, wired keyboards for the Mac from three other vendors--they don't hold up. The only thing missing is the hot key for widgets--solved by using hot corners in OS. If you need something robust, reliable with great key feedback--this is it. It sounds cool, too--love that mechanical key strike. Not one thing flimsy in this board.

[USB-A ] Purchased the blue switch before this and was just too clicky for me. This one is a perfect tactical keyboard, responsive, comfortable, and beautiful.

[3.8 lb] I'm a programmer and have had a CM Storm for 10 years. The printing was wearing off and I decided I was due for a new keyboard. I had a coupon and decided to get a Logitech g915. Big mistake. That's a bad keyboard. Short keystrokes, and seems very vulnerable to windows updates (Loses connectivity except for the volume wheel and requires a reboot to fix). Gave the Logitech to my wife ;-) and got the Das for me. Perfect in every way.
