[2.405 lb] I have the old version of this tripod, but it's still essentially the same. For the other reviewer saying that the handle gets in the way.. turn the head around so it points foward. It's much easier to pan and follow faster moving objects that way. Just loosen the handle and aim it. I have used this tripod to support a fairly heavy thing I built to take pictures of stars and it supported it easily, and that was with a 15 lb weight hooked to the bottom. It didn't budge one bit. I've used this with my 5 lb camera lens that has is a 500mm and it works great. I would not hesitate to buy this again. it is a rock solid tripod.

pro- long handle section above the grip, but below the extension release clamp: this allows good placement of various Varizoom zoom & focus controls.


con- they could be cheaper. it gets pricey spending almost $400 to extend both handles of a single dual handle video head. We just spent a lot on extension pan handles.

[2.405 lb] This is a well built tripod that packs small for hiking and travel. It feels strong and stable. The legs can be set at many angles. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a compact tripod.

[2.405 lb] I bought this back when I had a small SLR and have since upgraded to a full field Canon SLR and I Series lenses and this unit is still rock solid. I also love the one control to move the camera and the extended arm allows for very fine adjustments. Also great with my movie camera for all the same reasons. Yes, you must use the lens support and not the camera with heavy loads. I also like firmly, supporting the camera to the mount vs using the quick disconnects. May seem old fashioned but REALLY strong and nothing to slip!

[2.405 lb] I use my sony A7IV connected to mac via camlink. I've been looking for a tripod desk solution. I had one, I did not trust AT ALL! Basically the camera is going to live, breathe, eat, and sleep on this tripod. I was soooo shocked when I received it. WELL built, and amazing price to value. Picking up a few more!

[2.405 lb] So happy to be able to purchase this handle. I bought a Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 used and the handle was missing. This replacement handle works as it should.

[2.405 lb] Well built tripod. It's cast iron or steel in places where it matters and thick aluminium elsewhere. This makes it very sturdy, reliable and rugged. I've compared it to some other tripods in it's price range and found that it's able to eat a bit more of those pesky microvibrations you come across when using tele or macro. Also you can pretty much throw this thing around without being too worried about it breaking.It's not a brilliant tripod for all macro work though, as the minimum height is quite high. You can actually reverse the center pole, but the mechanism makes it tricky. Would be better to attach a ball head on the other end of the center pole but i haven't tried it yet.All in all a great tripod for most uses and one that can last from father to son.

[2.405 lb] Can't say enough good things about the Focus-22. Built like a tank, and can handle any camera weight. The legs are amazing and you can go from low to high in seconds. I primarily use this tripod when shooting on Red or Arri. Great all around tripod.
