Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What size would fit Swarovski 8x32 binoculars?

A: I bought the medium Soft Pouch (camo) for my Swarovski 8x32 EL and it fits them adequately but snugly. I would recommend this for protection where you dont want a case to take up a lot of space. I travel a lot and throw these in a day pack or carry-on where I dont want to bring my larger Swarivskis. The mediums are too small for the standard sized bins like the 8.5x42 EL and the 10x42 EL.

[On waist] I lost the cover for my 10x43 roof prism binoculars a few years ago and finally decided to find a replacement. The neoprene case is great. It's a close fit and needs to be stretched over the binoculars, but it seems to be a good fit, and it feels as though they are well protected. Its easy to fold the case and shove it into a big pocket so it is easy to leave it on the binoculars while hiking.

[0.25 lb] I use both of my binoculars in the field extensively and purchased a pouch for each. The pouch offers great protection from all elements while remaining easily usable.

[Fold over flap] A reviewer said these didn't work with his Zeiss Victory 8x25 binoculars. I'm not sure what the issue was for him, but they're perfect for mine. Perfect size, easy in and out, and it takes up minimal space. If they'd made these expressly for the Zeiss Victory 8x25's, they couldn't have done it better. (The case Zeiss provides for those is well designed and protective, but unnecessarily bulky and awkward to use in my opinion.) I also use the medium size Op/Tech case for my 8x42's. Great products! And great service from B&H too!

[On waist] Binoculars tend to come from the factory in oversized hard cases or boxes, not conducive to field carry. The OP/TECH case protects your optics in the field in the smallest possible space. Perfect to toss them into a field bag and hit the trail. Personally, I would use the waist strap for another purpose and let the OEM binocular strap hold them around your neck when not stashed in your field bag.

[0.25 lb] I happily own a number of Op/Tech products, so when I first thought this was a silly design, I decided I needed to give it more thought.
I read a very negative review of this product by someone who didn’t. Took me a while to find the slits to run the strap through, and to realize that what I thought was the front, was the back. Then the light came on and it works like a charm. Clever.
