The Lectrosonics Venue2 Six-Channel Receiver 470-691 MHzis a rackmount receiver frame that can be used with a variety of transmitters from Lectrosonics as well as transmitters from other manufacturers. Its wideband design offers the flexibility needed in congested RF environments. The Venue2 receiver is a "system" that consists of a master unit and up to six receiver modules and a software interface. It can be used for sound reinforcement applications such as live stage, theater, boardrooms, houses of worship, and more.

The Venue2 mainframe assembly houses the power supply, antenna and RF distribution, user interface and control ports, and up to six wireless receiver modules (sold separately), providing a significant reduced cost per channel with the modules sharing these resources. The built-in RF multicoupler allows up to three mainframes to operate from a single pair of antennas, resulting in an additional cost savings as a multi-channel system.

The mainframe front panel provides an LCD for system setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting during normal operation. The LCD shows RF and audio levels, diversity status, pilot tone status, and transmitter battery status for all six receivers at the same time.

Furthermore, a built-in analyzer scans the tunable spectrum of the receiver to assist in finding clear operating frequencies and presents the results in graphical format on the LCD. Also, a wireless designer software is included that simplifies setup and exposes all features in an easily navigable GUI.

Up to six receiver modules (not included) can be installed in each mainframe

Six balanced XLR audio-output jacks connect the Venue receiver to external equipment. By default, pin 2 is audio positive (+). The polarity of each output can be reversed in the LCD setup menus or with the included software

A serial RS-232 interface is provided for setup and control of a Venue2 system from computers or other devices using industry-standard RS-232 communication links

Standard USB Version 1.1 port for setup and control of the receiver from computer systems using Windows 7, 8, 10, and Vista operating systems

The built-in antenna multicoupler provides RF distribution for the six receiver modules and a "loop thru" output at the same level to deliver the RF signal to another Venue2 receiver

The two outermost BNC connectors are provided for use with right-angle whip antennas, cables from remote antennas, or cables from another Venue receiver

Q: 1. Is IFBT4 block 19 compatible with the A1 receiver, will the frequencies match up?

A: Yes, the Lectrosonics IFBR1B Bodypack IFB Receiver with Charger (A1: 470 to 537 MHz) is compatible for use with the Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile IFB Transmitter (Frequency Block 19), which covers 486.400 - 511.900 MHz (B&H # LEIFBT419). It can also be used with the Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile Compact IFB Transmitter (Block 470), which covers 470.100 - 495.600 MHz (B&H # LEIFBT4470), and the Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile IFB Transmitter (Frequency Block 20), which covers 512.000 - 537.500 MHz (B&H # LEIFBT420).

Q: 2. Can I run this directly into a Canon C70s Mini XLR channel 1 and channel 2 inputs? If so, what cable do I need to do this?

A: Yes, when the outputs of the Lectrosonics DCR822 Compact Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver are configured for analog output, they are compatible for connecting and sending signal to the audio inputs on the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera. A set of cables such as the Cable Techniques Low-Profile Straight TA3F to TA3M Mini XLR Cables (15", Pair) (BH #CACTVMXRTS15) would be appropriate for this function: https://bhpho.to/3sXaxjF

Q: 3. Will this connect to my old UM200C transmitter?

A: No, this receiver is not compatible with the UM200C transmitter. The UM200C can be used with any 200 Series Lectrosonics receiver that operates within the same frequency group. The DCR822 receiver is compatible with D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, DPr, DCHT, and M2T. [0.9 µV] Love my DCR822 rock solid just like the URC411a but with 2 channel instead of 1

[6] The 822 does everything that is advertised. It sounds great, backwards compatible with all the hybrid digital Lectro. The feature I love most is it records. Should there ever be an issue with my mixer, this receiver can save the day.

[Superheterodyne] I've used the Shure SLXD series now at 8 events. They've been great. I bought the rechargeable batteries and I'm getting 7.5 hours out of them. The setup is fast. They scan the open frequencies in less than 10 seconds. Very happy with this series!

[221 MHz] I purchased this to replace an analog IEM antenna combiner that I was using on a Digital IEM platform that was having issues with dropouts and interference. The original (high-end professional) product had been recommended by another supplier, and I was skeptical that it would make any difference to replace as it was amplifying and combining the same signal. This combiner (made specifically with tuning to support Digital IEM's) instantly fixed all of the issues I had been chasing for months. The IEM's are now solid from hundreds of yards away, and no dropouts. This thing has saved my productions.

[9 lb] Made this my official first Lectro Receiver!
Right out the gate, out of all Lectro interfaces i've interacted with this is one of the nicest ones I've used! Just having the buttons alone makes it a breeze instead of having to push into the usual press-in controls that we're used to on previous Lectro devices. The menu is fantastic and versatile as well! As far as I have been able to use it in the field it seems to get me pretty dang good results as far as distance and quality goes (paired with the DBu and DBSMD). Not to mention the option to record onto the receiver! As soon as I got to use this I was in a situation where I had to attach it to a camera since no one else but camera was allowed in the building following an NFL player. Worked like a charm.
