The Lectrosonics HMa Wireless Transmitter RE50B Mic Kit 470-537MHzfrom Lectrosonics HMa Wireless Transmitter RE50B Mic Kit 470-537MHzis a UHF plug-on transmitter that accepts mic or line-level signals via a standard XLR connector. The transmitter is designed to be paired with a Lectrosonics receiver and handheld microphone (sold separately)for use in applications for ENG (Electronic News Gathering), EFP (Electronic Field Productions), interviews for broadcast TV, and more. The HMa offer phantom power selectable at 5, 15, and 48V—allowing it to work with a wide variety of condenser mics. Of course you can switch the phantom power off entirely if you're using a dynamic microphone.

The input amplifier of the HMa transmitter uses an ultralow-noise op-amp for quiet operation and offers input gain control along with a wide-range dual-release envelope limiter. A 24-bit A to D converter digitizes the audio, and filters the supersonic noise above 21 kHz. The resulting signal is encoded with a proprietary algorithm to produce an analog data signal for RF transmission.

This version of the HMa features a tuning range of 67 MHz, with tuning steps in increments of 100 kHz or 25 kHz, and is set for use in the A1: 470 to 537 MHz range. DSP compatibility mode allows the transmitter to work with legacy analog wireless microphone and IFB receivers as well as some receivers from other manufacturers.

Finally, the transmitter is powered by two AA batteries, with status indicated by a multi-color LED. A USB port is also provided for firmware updates, and an IR (infrared) port is included to simplify setup with IR enabled receivers.

Q: 1. Is it posible to use this Lectrosonic transmitter with a Sennheiser receiver in the same band (A1)?

A: No that would not be possible.

Q: 2. Which ones can be used in the U.S.

A: All of the Lectrosonics HMa Plug-On Wireless Transmitters that we sell can be used in the United States.

Q: 3. What is the effective range of the LMB B1 Transmitter? By range I mean distance between transmitter and receiver not frequency range.

A: The operating distance for the Lectrosonics LMb Bodypack Wireless Transmitter and a compatible wireless receiver is approximately 328 feet line of sight.

Q: 4. Can I pair with Senheisser MKE2?

A: I'm sorry, but Sennheiser does not make a version of the MKE2 with the correct wiring for this transmitter.

Q: 5. Am I able to use the lectrosonics IFB to tune into this transmitter? I didn't see an IFB mode.. just DHCT and DUET mode.

A: This unit is not compatible with the IFB model receivers. For an IFB receiver, you'd need a version of their IFBT4 transmitters in the corresponding frequency as the receiver. Such as this B&H # LEIFBT421.

Q: 6. Can I create a flexlist with this transmitter and the m2r?

A: Yes. On page 12 of Operators Manual it is described: Selecting M2R Receiver Functions The M2R Receiver includes a FlexList™ mode where up to 16 mixes can be accessed by name. This feature enables a user to quickly find and listen to any of the performer’s mixes on the stage. The mix includes the name, frequency, mixer settings and limiter settings. The mix is easily shared via the M2R IR port, added to the list of 16 mixes and stored until cleared by the user. The M2R allows the user to toggle between the mixes, making troubleshooting issues easy and efficient. Flex Sync DCHT, DCHT/E01 information to the M2R FlexList either as one stereo Channel or individual channels: - SendTx: Send (sync) all receiver information to the M2R FlexList as one stereo channel - SendCh1: Send (sync) Channel 1 unique information to the M2R FlexList - SendCh2: Send (sync) Channel 2 unique information to the M2R FlexList - SendM12: Send (sync) a mono mix of both channels to the M2R FlexList Use th

Q: 7. Will the UTX-B40 work with the URX-P03 receiver. I need to replace a broken UTX-B03?

A: Yes, as long as both components operate on the same frequency band, they will work together. For example, this specific transmitter operates on the UC14: 470 to 542 MHz band, so the receiver would need to operate on the same band.

Q: 8. Is there a battery eliminator made for this?

A: No,at this time there are no battery eliminators or alternate powering options available for the LMb transmitter.

Q: 9. What recivers are available to use with this transmitter?

A: The list of receivers compatible with the Lectrosonics HMa Plug-On Wireless Transmitter depends on the frequency range selected. For an HMa on the A1 (470-537MHz) or B1 (537-607MHz) ranges, there are many options including the Lectrosonics SRc, LR, UCR411A. If using the HMa on the 941 (941-951MHz), the options are limited to the SRc receiver.

Q: 10. Will two of these work with the URX-P03D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver?

A: Yes it will.

[Aluminum] I've had a HM for a while and loved it so much I got this new HMa. It is a life saver. Having the 3 blocks of frequencies makes it a perfect companion for the Lectorosnics Src.

[1.15 lb] Solid wireless kit. I wish they offered a better mic in the kit. Like the Audio-technica 4001 or a Sennheiser MD46.

[103.5 dB] I purchased a Sony kit with a dual-channel receiver and two belt packs. To this I added a wireless handheld microphone and most recently the UTX-P40 Plug-on transmitter. This system has worked flawlessly, even in noisy environments like downtown Chicago. Configuration of the components is confusing, but nearly identical in each device. If you have NFC, configuration of the transmitters is automated. Unfortunately my receiver does not have NFC.

[Battery] Bought these to pair to my Sony URX-PO3D dual receiver. They synced up immediately. I added the Countryman EMW Lavs w/ Sony connectors and the sound is fantastic. The body pack is smaller than any other I've had before, but it is very solid. I put it on and walked outside the building and across the parking lot - solid signal. This will be my go-to audio setup for a long time!

[Auto-Scan] I bought 5 pieces of LMB-B1 and I am Happy with themclean audio As all Lectrosonics,Easy to useBatteries last for a long time. it is not good distance and Audio quality when used with UCR 201. i test them out it is better to used them with LR - 411- Srb or Venue with VRT, i use them with 401 it is good but not good distance. You should pay attention to the door of the batteries a little bit sensitive.

[IR] I purchased 2 UTX-M40 TRANSMITTERS, 1 URX-P03D receiver and an extra ECM-V1BMP for my Sony RX10M3/RX100M7 cameras. The setup works great for 4K videos using the 3.5mm output. The microphones focus on the subjects with very little background. I am very happy with this setup as the RX100M7 is very portable when using a belt pouch for the receiver.

[Yes] Im an owner of a few older UWP-D models but this has a different feel when you look at it.
Its a little bit smaller than the older, the antenna is a little bit more protected and also, the unit is 24g lighter than the older one.
It has a few upgrades like auto-gain, + 15 dB sensibility boost the screen turn off by it self using less battery than the older.
Im really happy with it and now Im going to upgrade my older models for this one.

[67 MHz] I’ve been a staunch supporter of the sm series for years, and this is a great upgrade from the classic small body unit. The menu functionality is easy and faster than the old one, and the recorder function is awesome for super long or wide shots. Battery life is comparable to the old sm. Can’t wait to add more to my kit!
