Q: 4. Can this paper be used for foiling?

A: Due to the glossy surface of this paper it would make it hard for the foil to adhere, so I would not recommend it.

Q: 8. Can I use this with a Canon Pixma Pro 100?

A: Yes! That's the printer I use and it works great with this film. I find it's best to boost saturation and contrast quite a bit for printing on this material - it's not like printing on paper. You'll need a little trial and error to dial it in. Also, a tip - don't throw the paper separators away. For my purposes anyway, placing one between the transparency and lightbox really helps.

Q: 9. what printers do you recommend for printing transparency film (like this)? I want to print art onto transparencies for use as contact media in monotype printmaking. (I am a single artist, wishing to purchase a suitable printer for my home studio.) THANK YOU.

A: 2 printers I would recommend for your purposes are the Canon Pro 10 (CAPP10) and the Epson R3000 (EPSPR3000).

Q: 10. Can I use Inkpress roll media transparency film with my Epson SureColor P600 printer?

A: Yes, you would be able to use Inkpress transparency film with your Epson p600

[50 Sheets] the texture on the film holds the toner so we'll that I do not have to use two transparencies to get block out for my particular use. It is worth the extra money ..

[1.44 lb] Very affordable film to make interpositives for different alternative processes, like negative enlargement.

[ATP-DC/AB] I've had major success with tray developing using Iron Out as my developer. I tbsp per litre of water.

[ATP-DC/AB] Although the base is pretty thin, and the emulsion is really scratch sensitive, this film is consistent and works very well. For lith, the blacks are blacks, and for other applications, I found diluted D-23 helps tame the contrast. It still only has around a 3 stop dynamic range though.

[1.44 lb] I'm just getting into large format with a 125 year old camera. This film is great for learning. At less than $0.25 a frame, how can you go wrong? It is very contrasty, but so were pictures 125 years ago. I've not figured out the exact ISO yet, but I'm guessing 4 or 5. I've shot at 3 and 6 and it appears to be somewhere in between. At least when using my freebie light meter app. It's great that you can load film holders under safelight and also trim to width under safelight. It's probably not for professional photographers, but your not paying profession photography prices for it either.

[ATP-DC/AB] This film is even more contrasty than some paper negatives, but its a lot of fun and definitely worth the price. Have not tried it on an overcast day yet, which I think this would probably shine in bumping contrast of the scene.

Cheap 5x7 film is so hard to come by these days, I couldn't resist.

Could certainly benefit from stand development in Rodinal 1+100 to lower the contrast a bit and increase dynamic range. If you have a large enough dev tank, that is.

[1.44 lb] I am experimenting with creating etchings from my photographs using the solar plate process. This requires that the solar plate be exposed to UV light prior to processing. After following instructions in the Epson manual, I successfully printed on this film.

This is the first time that I have tried printing with the Epson 3880 on substrates other than cotton rag paper! The prints that I chose to print were all monochrome black and white. All photos printed great onto this film.

Now I have to test with creating an etching on solar plate from the printed transparency!

[50 Sheets] I've been using this in a Polaroid camera and it works great. It's fairly thin, so care needs to be taken when handling, but it develops fine in Dektol 1:20, giving 2 or 3 stops of dynamic range.

This film is cut exactly 4x5, so won't fit in a standard 4x5 film holder, which takes film which is around 3.9x4.9. Neither does this film fit into the printfile archive sheet holders, unless you trim 2mm off each dimension.
