The Tiffen 86mm CC30M Magenta Filteris a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.

A: You may use UV Haze filters on both still cameras and camcorders alike. However, the B+W 72mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter listed above would be a good recommendation for cameras that have a 35mm film full-frame focal length equivalent of 24mm or longer (to prevent vignetting). If the lens you own has a full-frame equivalent focal length wider than 24mm, then a slim filter would be recommended for use. As such, for wider lenses, I would instead recommend either the B+W 72mm UV Haze Slim MRC 010M Filter, B&H # BWUVMCS72, or the B+W 72mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M Filter, B&H # BWUVXSP72.
