[5600K] After using this light for a few months, it stopped working properly. I contacted Vidpro's custommer service in NYC. They replied very quickly, aked me to send the faulty light and within a week I received a replacement for it.

[180] I do night sky photography that requires 20 second exposures. To light the foreground subject and still use 20 sec exposures I use three Vidpro LED lights. 2 model 330-X units and one model 312 light. All have color temperature selection and adjustable illumination. They can be mounted on tripods or light stands. The barn doors on the 330-X units allow you to control the area desired.

[Daylight] The build on this light isn't anything heavy duty, but it's still got a nice solid feel to it. It just feels right. It's a little larger than your average on-camera light, which to me is a good thing since I use it more on a light stand as a portable light. It's very lightweight too for it's size. And on top of all this, it's very bright and the dimming and variable color do very well in controlling your output. I WILL definitely be buying another one, maybe even two.

[Daylight] I first borrowed 4 of these for a night shoot, I and all the photographers and cinematographers who attended loved the result. Since then Ive picked up 8 of my own, and have used them for three more night shoots since then, one of which was also a larger shoot with about 2 dozen paying photographers and cinematographers present, once again, all of them and my staff were happy with the results. The ability to change the temp of the light as well as intensity is great, and makes them versitile enough for everything I need. They are also small and light enough that it is not a hassle moving and packing them for shoots.

[180] I've had 4 of these lights since 2015 and even on big sets with proper lights, I always toss these in my kit. While I occasionally use them to edge something out or even as a hair light, their major function is accent lighting in hard to reach places. With a high capacity battery (I use Watson NP-F975), I get all the power and run-time I could possibly need.


While I have Quasars and other LED panels in my kit, this light is lightweight enough to be held up with gaff tape, hidden easily out of frame, and the barn doors allow for quick flagging AND they give you a surface to tape to if you want to further flag with CineFoil.


Cons: they're not super resilient. I've broken a few of these beyond repair by hanging them in sketchy locations. At this price, though, they're relatively expendable and well worth replacing!

[180] For an expensive LED light kit, this luminaire has proved to be very handy -- both on the camera, or placed on a stand.y Down side is the batteries. We have the same style of batteries already in the shop, yet, they're just a hair too wide to fit, even with filing one of them down (during a shoot, crew will try anything). Nice that it comes complete: Barn doors attached, AC convertor and battery with charger But, we like the instrument so much, we purchased exact replacement batteries from the company -- they were very helpful.
