[Black] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Logitec 845 is a great example of a modern mechanical keyboard. It has the clickity clack one would appreciate plus several queues to the previous generations of keyboards. An added bonus is the illumination patterns to let all who use it know that this Logitec is up to date. I have it plugged into an HP monitor hub with a usb-c hot port so anyone can plug in their laptop and instantly begin using the keyboard. The keyboard works moderately well with macOS (use the windows key as cmd) and is smooth with any Windows and Chrome machine. Build quality is solid as well. Value exceeds price. Great product.

[USB-A ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lights are the perfect brightness. Keys are smooth and feel very nice. Feels heavy, like good quality materials were used. Loving this keyboard with the red mechanical keys.

[3.05 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have arthritis and finger control is not good. The wide spacing of K845 makes it easy to use. Also the positive clicks help make sure od good contact. Quality is good as the K840 lasted over 10 years.

[USB-A ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfectly lit. Secure wired connection. No Batteries to fail.
No garbage gimmicks like my Master 3 mouse/keyboard combo which are practically unusable.

When you're ready to put your toys aside it'll be the keyboard you can count on.
Where has this keyboard been all my life?

[3.05 lb] The K845 is a minimalist, wired keyboard that provides the best typing experience I've had since I first purchased an IBM PS/2 in the 1990s. I'd forgotten what using mechanical keys meant for the typing experience. My speed is more akin to what I could reach back in high school in typing class. The keyboard is solidly built and the light effects, while limited, add a nice touch. It would be better if there was some software to control it, but that sort of goes against the minimalist design philosophy, doesn't it?

All in all, I can honestly say this is the keyboard I'll be using for all my machines (at a desk) going forward. I've purchased two of them--one for home and one for work. I'd originally purchased a red-switch model, but traded it for brown. I'm sure red provides a good gaming experience, but for typing brown seems to be the way to go. With it, I find much fewer inadvertent keystrokes (none really) than the red produced.

The dark gray aesthetic goes well with most settings. This will be my keyboard for the foreseeable future. And I'll never use a membrane keyboard again. Mechanical keyboards are a much better experience.

[USB-A ] It is loud, but I love the lighting and the weight: it is hefty. Nice upgrade from the $12 keyboard I have purchased several times before.

[Black] I chose the K845 mechanical with brown switches because I wanted an illuminated mechanical keyboard that wasn't overly loud and clicky. The switches are relatively quiet but produce a satisfying click, one that I desired over a mushy key. The illuminated keys are excellent as I prefer a lower light environment to work in. The keys are set up high off the board itself allowing anything that may fall onto the keyboard to simply slide off and not get lodged. The K845 is a wired system which I bought specifically. I don't wish to spend additional money just to have to replace batteries or worry about charging a keyboard. The wired connection works for me and I don't need anything else. For the price, I don't think there is a better mechanical keyboard.

[USB-A ] Feels good to type with, not too loud either. My only wish would be for the NUM/CAPS/SCRL lock indicator lights to be visible from a slighlty lower angle.

[3.05 lb] The keyboard has a very solid feel and I can tell it is made from high quality materials. The plastic keys feel thick and solid and the aluminum base is solid as well, and the lighted keys make it look really nice. I got the brown key switches and I really like how the keys feel when I type. (The feel of the keys is really the best part - I've missed mechanical keyboards)! I also like that it is lit and I like the different light options. I mostly keep it on the static light pattern because I've wanted a lighted keyboard for quite some time. I've been looking for a keyboard that had the right feel and I've certainly found it - this has become my "go to" keyboard.
