Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What type of a mic adapter end fits in the body pack?

A: The body pack transmitters require a compatible female 3 pin mini XLR connector.

Q: 2. can I get a headset mic and a guitar system? with the 288

A: Unfortunately Samson does not offer a bundle that comes with the headset and guitar cable for it. The closest you can get to it would be to get a Samson Concert 288 that comes with two belt pack transmitters like B&H # SASWC288PRSI (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1121211-REG/samson_swc288pres_i_concert_288_presentation_dual_channel.html) with the Samson GC32 guitar cable to use with one of the belt packs. http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/accessories/samson-parts-and-accessories/swagc32/

Q: 3. Can this system expand to 16 microphones?

A: Yes, however: The receiver on this system is a single channel receiver (just like one radio receiver, it will only be able to "tune" into one radio station). This system accommodes/includes 16 channels that are available, individually to a single transmitter, choosing one of the 16 channels available on the receiver.. If 16 microphones are needed (0r any number from 2 up to 16), an additional system (another microphone with another transmitter) may be used in the same area.

Q: 4. Under diversity it says "Antenna Diversity, True Diversity" but it has just two antennas. So it is just true diversity when one channel is in use?

A: True diversity, as described with the Samson Concert 288 Presentation Dual-Channel Wireless Microphone System with 2 Headset Mics & 2 Lav Mics, infers that a receiver has dual antennae as well as dual internal chips to assess and choose the stronger antenna reception of an incoming signal. A dual channel receiver with independent internal diversity chips can still be considered true diversity for this reason.

Q: 5. Will a heil capsule work on the handheld mic , using the base as the transmitter to the receiver for better bass solo sounds?

A: This will only work with the Samson capsule

Q: 6. Is the cable to connect to my mixer included? If not, what is the exact cable I need?

A: No, the receiver output cables are not included with the wireless system. The receiver has individual 1/4" TS outputs for each of the channels and a single XLR output that sends a combined signal with the audio from both microphones. So you can use either two 1/4" TS cables (standard instrument cable) like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series 1/4" Male to 1/4" Male Instrument Cable (6' (B&H # KOI3006) or use an XLR cable like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable (6', Black) B&H # KOM3006).

Q: 7. what is channel A B C D ?

A: Channel A,B,C or D refers the the frequency the mixrophones transmit on. If buying multipe systems you should buy different frequencies.

Q: 8. can yiou use the samson airline88 microphone with the samson 88x transmitter?

A: Yes

Q: 9. How long is the cable?

A: 16.5 inches

Q: 10. Can this take a line level input without distorting?

A: The transmitter for the Samson Concert 88 Camera UHF Wireless Lavalier Mic System is not designed to receive a true line level signal. Only mic level and instrument. You may attenuate your signal before going into the transmitter using a line to mic pad or variable attenuator; B&H SEMULTIPAD.

[Supercardioid] These work just fine. Have used them in Manhattan for PA use in panel discussions and the like with no problems. This is notable because of all the RF in the air here. I now have 5 of these units, including 4 lavaliers and 1 handheld. They have all worked fine right out of the box. I have not used them at their full maximum spec. range of 300ft, but 75ft has been no problem, even through one wall. Some have commented that their construction seems flimsy, but in my experience they are built well enough, especially considering their performance at a fraction of the price of other brands. And I have seen several wedding bands that use them exclusively. The fact that these are frequency agile is a big plus, as you can mix mikes and base units within their band (units are fixed to either C or D band in the US), and choose from 16 channels per band. Biggest complaint, by far, is that the foam windscreen is easy to lose, so maybe get some extras - they can be found cheaply enough - or find a way to fix the windscreen to the mike. BTW the replacement plug-in mikes are quite inexpensive, and I've used these quite successfully to replace mikes on Shure SLX body packs.

[Battery] I got this as a second mic for the XP310. It couldn't be any easier to install. Slide it in, turn the unit on, and you're good to go.

Mine had a little bit of noise, but I fixed it with the gain adjustment.

If you have a 310 or 312, this is a very affordable way to expand it's capability.

[Dynamic] This a great set of microphones from a well known company. Only decent set I could find that had a mix out so that I use single channel on my board. Amazing quality, no drop outs and plenty of channel options to choose from. Best both in price and quality.

[Dynamic] I bought this for use in my local synagogue for speeches/lectures. We were having an issue with the previous mic we had that used bluetooth connection, but this is no longer an issue. This product works great, was easy and quick to set up and we now have no issues with interference! Highly recommend this product!

[50 Hz to 15 kHz] This Samson equipment is a very cost effective unit for Church audio systems. Easy to setup, instruct on usage and the performance of this unit is excellent for the money. Will purchase again for the next installation where a budgeted amount is of concern.

[Analog UHF ] Once I figured out the colored rings around the top and bottom of the microphones it was very easy to set up. One mic comes pre set as mic A and one as mic B. I figured that, used the IR to set it and I was off and running. I can set this up with my Fender Passport Event or my smaller Anchor Audio AC 130+. This was $ less than the Shure microphone set up and I very happy that I purchased this over the Shure.
