Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much more than camera can it hold? What does inside look like?

A: The inside of the bag is burnt orange with a tight black document pocket on one side. It comes with a velcro divider. With the HM170 in the bag there's about 3-4 inches of clearance in front of the camera, assuming you push the camera all the way to one side. There's probably 1-2 inches of clearance on the sides of the camera. These measurements were taken with the lens hood and microphone mounted. I would say there's enough room for the camera, power supply, a few batteries, and some small items but not much else.

Q: 2. This this will fit the Nova 600? Nova measurements online seem to say its 31.57'' high. Obviously that pushes this case height a tiny but I'm curious if it could mainly fit since the padding is semi-soft.

A: This case has a 30": interior length. It is too small for a Nova 600c.

Q: 3. will this fit 2 of the new gemini 1*1 hard?

A: Yes this case for two Gemini will fit two Gemini.

Q: 4. will the Sony PXW Z190 fit in this case with accessories?

A: This will be a very tight fit for the Z190. Instead I would look at something a bit larger, such as the Arco Video Dr. Bag 30, B&H # ARCSD30B. This bag will be able to handle the Z190 and accessories. https://bhpho.to/2xRoYaa

Q: 5. does the c70 fit upright inside with top handle attached?

A: The Canon C70 will just barely fir upright inside the case with the handle attached. The height of the camera with the handle is about 9 inches, and so is the height of the case.

Q: 6. Will this case hold the XC10 with the viewfinder loupe attached?

A: The XC10 with viewfinder and lens hood: 5.2 x 4.5 x 9.4 / 131 x 115 x 238 mm. The interior of the bag is 14 x 7 x 7 (36.6 x 17.8 x 17.8 cm). You have plenty of room.

Q: 7. Will this also fit the Astra 6x 1x1?

A: The Astra is a smaller unit than the Gemini and should be able to fit this case.

Q: 8. Does it have a strap to fit on top of a rolling bag?

A: There is a shoulder strap on the PortaBrace Cinema Compact Soft Case for Assembled Cine-Style Camera that can be used to fit onto a rolling bag.

Q: 9. Can you provide the internal dimensions?

A: The PortaBrace Soft Padded Carrying Case for Canon XA55 (B&H# POCSXA55) has internal dimensions of 18 x 7 x 8.5" (45.7 x 17.8 x 21.6cm).

Q: 10. Will this case also fit my Canon EOS 60D with its external battery grip BG-E9 and its 75-300 zoom lens attached to the camera body?

A: Yes

[Canon XC10] This is my second Portabrace bag I own. I like that it is specifically made for the Canon XF200/205, although I'm sure it would accommodate other cameras of this size. One of the main selling points for me beides the excellent craftsmanship Portabrace is known for, is that it allows me to keep my shotgun mic attached while in the bag, no need to take it off. I have test fitted it with the Rode Ntg1 and the AT-875R and both fit perfectly. I really can't find any negatives with this bag. If I had to be picky, I wish the shoulder strap came with the tan suede like my other Portabrace bag for my Panasonic Ac160a. I'm guessing they did this to keep the price low. I got this on sale for $ ! That's a steal for a Portabrace bag of this size. Thanks again B&H!

[Canon XC10] This case fits my Sony FX30 camera with 18-105mm PZ lens attached perfectly. I still have room for a few spare batteries and a few other accessories too. Like with all Portabrace products, this case is extremely well made and will sure to last a very long time, and it's made in the USA, you just can't beat that.

[Canon XC10] This bag is very comfortable to carry. Plenty enough space for all my gear. I can attest it can hold a camera with the shotgun mounted, although I always put mine away. Habits die hard. Two large pockets on either side are plenty big enough to hold my mics, straps, wind screen, deadcats, zoom H4, charger, extra battery, medium size 160 LED on camera light, gel filters, interview mic, couple lavs, and a wireless receiver and transmitter. This is definitely a quality bag.

[2.365 lb] Very please. Well made, perfect fit. I have been buying PortaBrace bags and cases since 1994. Never been dissatisfied or disappointed.

[2.365 lb] I decided to get this bag because of Porta Brace's outstanding reputation and the fact that it's a near-perfect fit for the HM170, although it would also fit other smallish camcorders. The inside of the bag is burnt orange with a tight black document pocket on one side. (See attached photo) I would say there's enough room for the camera, power supply, a few batteries, and some small items but not much else. All in all, an excellent bag that will stand the rigors of the field.
