The off-white 86 Series 6" In-Ceiling Contractor Speaker from Speco Technologies features a 70/25V transformer with colored leads. The speaker comes with a volume control knob centered on the grille while the dog-ear mounting clamps provide a secure installation.

A: Yes, these should work fine as Atmos effect speakers.

A: This speaker requires amplification. A SoundTube Entertainment SA202-RDT Mini Amplifier, BH #SOSA202RDT would provide power and volume control for two speakers.

Q: 10. does this speaker have a 1/4 in plug in?

A: This Speco Technologies WB86T 8" 10W Wall Baffle Speaker is designed for a permanent installation, and has push terminals for bare wire connection. You will need to use it with an amplifier, that can send a powered signal to the speaker. You will have options for either constant voltage (25 or 70V), or direct connection at 8 ohms.

[8 Ohm] I've been using these speakers for about 12 years now. My company has been using them for longer than that. We have around 250 grocery stores with an average of around 15 speakers in each store. So about 3750 speakers. We have maybe 4 dead speakers a year. Probably less. Of those that go bad, almost all of them are over 10 years old. Can't get much better than that. 5

[8 Ohm] I was going to get a straight cable to hook my iPad/iPhone to my guitar amp so I could play along with tracks. One of the reps from B&H suggested the LTIBLOX interface as an alternative which would boost the signal. He was right. Everythings coming through, clear as a bell. Nice and tight. 5

[91 dB] Works well. The ceiling tile brackets you use with these are awkward to install with these speakers so the install took longer than I expected, but the sound is good. Client is happy - I'm happy. 5

[Colored leads] I've been looking for an interface to handle audio between a laptop and the balanced house audio system at our church. This does the trick beautifully and the ability to control the volume at the source is a plus. 5

[Colored leads] I found having the option to specify the wattage by selecting certain wires was helpful in installing various types of speakers. I could set a certain volume for the store while having a louder volume for the back of the store for announcements. 5
