A: They can. The plates provide 11–17 VDC, unregulated.

A: We have not yet been able to test this, as camera is yet unavailable as of this writing.

A: The adapter allows you to use V-Mount type batteries on Gold Mount Camera Plates. It will also allow you to charge V-Mount batteries on PRO-X Gold Mount Chargers.

Q: 4. Is this charger compatible with the CORE SWX Powerbase Edge Batteries?

A: Yes it is. Core SWX Powerbase EDGE batteries are still V-Mount batteries that used with a charger like this.

Q: 5. Would this be able to accommodate the Neo Core Mini Gold Mount Batteries too? Or will this only work on the Micro batteries?

A: This adapter was designed to exclusively work with Core SWX NANO Micro Gold Mount batteries. We would not recommend using it with Neo Core Mini Gold Mount batteries.

A: Yes.

A: Yes, the Core SWX Micro Battery Hot-Swap Shark Fin Adapter (Gold Mount) (B&H# COGPTAMICRO) could be used as part of a of a power solution for an ARRI ALEXA Mini Body with 4:3 and ARRIRAW (B&H# ARK00014797). If you are wanting to preserve the hot swap ability of this product then you would need to use it with a Gold (i.e. AB) mount battery plate and then also an appropriate power cable. For example, if your battery plate has a D-tap port then you could use the Tilta D-Tap to 8-Pin LEMO-Type Connector Cable for ALEXA Mini (B&H# TIDTP2BBCE17).

[Gold Mount] This is an excellent product. I usually by name brand items with the believe that off brand makers tend to be less well made and of cheaper quality. In this case, that is not at all true. This item is well made, durable and the highest quality. It works exactly as described and looks like an OEM product. Don't spend more when this item fills the bill at a lower price. 5

[Gold Mount] I've used this once so far on a commercial shoot and found it to be reliable and well made. I Like the rigid mounting, something that's missing from the Wooden Camera model. I feel like this gives a better consistent feel when operating and held, and prevents shifting weight for Steadicam setups. It acts as an integral part of the camera. I didn't have any issues with the power dropping out like the last reviewer because I had the FX9's included BP series battery installed. That allows for hot swaps and protects from batteries dropping out. Plus the Core Batteries and others usually have a power status that makes it too easy to monitor the remaining battery life. After three days of shooting the BP battery still had about 60% power. And if your adventurous, you could easily have a machinist add a few Lemo/Brand-X power connectors on the side. 5

[Gold Mount] Bought this after reading a few reviews about the Anton Bauer one I was going to get because people had problems with the Anton. This works great, plugged it in and bolted it on. I use my Anton Bauer Dionic batteries on it which helps with rear weight on the FS7. The Sony rear attachment was too expensive for me at the time so this works nice if you want to use gold mount batteries. 5

[0.75 lb] There seem to be a myriad of ways to power the FS7. You have the stock Sony batteries, V-Mount, the Sony extension unit, various plate options and this guy. It fits snugly to the camera and looks like it belongs on there. It is well designed and not too heavy. It would be nice if it was completely sealed from the elements, but you would really need to be in a sketchy environment to get anything into it- a small portion of the back is not sealed. The only downside is that it won't transmit time remaining on your battery to the camera as hours and minutes, It sends that info as volts, since it uses the DC input on the back of the camera for power. 5
