Q: 1. Are these stackable? Thinking of a way to use them on a floor mounted 48” slider where using a handheld gimbal cannot be used in tightly confined areas.

A: While you could stack these tubes, you would end up losing stability.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with a Rode NT3, which is 32mm dia. and .82 lb.?

A: Yes. It's compatible.

Q: 3. Will this mount work with the Rode NTG4 shotgun mic and is there a wall mount available?

A: This shock mount will work well with a Rode NTG4 mic. There is not a wall mount made specifically for this unit, but it could rigged to a studio arm that can then be wall-mounted. Please call our Pro Audio team at 800.606.6969 and we can assist you further.

Q: 4. Does this come with a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter for the bottom thread?

A: Yes. The bottom is 3/8's with an adapter to make it 1/4. The top is 1/4 and it comes with an adapter to make it 3/8. I use the 1/4 adapter in the bottom and use the 1/4 thread in the top as it comes. I don't think I will need the 3/8 adapter for the top, but having them makes the product very versatile. The picture shows both adapters but you can't tell what they are.

Q: 5. The unit ships with a 3/8" adapter and acorn nut installed on the top section. How do you remove the 3/8" threaded adapter on the top section to expose the 1/4"x20 threaded post?

A: The top thread on the Sunwayfoto ET-01 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Tube is reversible. One side is 3/8th inch and the other is 1/4 inch.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with a Mixpre10 II mixer?

A: No, this breakout cable has no application with the Mixpre10ii.

Q: 7. Can I use this extension tube on my Panasonic GH3?

A: Unfortunately, the Olympus EX-25 Extension Tube is not compatible with the Panasonic GH3. The GH3 has the micro four thirds mount, while the EX-25 has the four thirds mount, which are different mounts. Q: 8. How bad is the locking mechanism of this shockmount? (some users say it doesn't lock well) Can you do something to solve this?

A: Some users have mentioned having issues with the locking mechanism on the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount for Cameras and Boom Poles. Perhaps you may want to try a different universal shockmount for a shotgun microphone. We have the Auray DUSM-1 Universal Shockmount for Camera Shoes and Boompoles (B&H # AUDUSM1), which has a 3/8" female thread on the bottom of the shoe mount. A 5/8" thread adapter like the Auray AD-5838-B 5/8"-27 Female to 3/8"-16 Male Mic Stand Adapter (B&H # AUAD5838B) can be added to attach it to a mic stand.

Q: 9. Will this fit and work well on my Olympus OM-D E-M1?

A: The Olympus EX-25 Extension Tube will not work with micro 4/3 cameras such as the Olympus OM-D E-M1. This extension tube is designed to specifically be used with Olympus 4/3 DSLR cameras.

Q: 10. What is the outside diameter of each of the carbon fiber tubes?

A: One section of the Sunwayfoto ET-01 Carbon Fiber Tripod Extension Tube is 24mm in diameter, and the other section is 20mm in diameter.

[6' (1.8 m)] I purchased the WA451 TA3-F to XLR-M Cable by Shure, to use with a Shure FP5 battery powered receiver. With its solid connection at the XLR fitting and stress absorbing coiled cord, its perfect for quick set-up, staying out of the way and portability. On the downside; I found it a bit pricy for 1 foot of cord, but it carries every sound I make...which is the only thing of importance in my business, so I knew there would be no substitute. 5

[6' (1.8 m)] I ordered this, THEN read the reviews and though to myself, Oh no! I bought a dud! I received it today and my initial feeling is that this is a well made mic shock mount. It does not seem flimsy or weak at all and I do not get the impression the plastic stress points will crack or fail. Treat this piece of equipment with care and it should give you years of good service. So far I have no regrets with this purchase. 5

[1.25" (31.8 mm)] In Florida we do a lot of bird photography in nature centers like Wakodahatchee or Green Cay. Basically boardwalks with guard rails through swampy areas. I screw the top of tube directly into the foot of my long lenses, adjust the lenght and place the bottom of the adjustable extension tube on top of the railing to provide substantial support for the considerable weight of the Nikon D850 with battery grip, with long lenses like my 600mm f/4 and 1.4 XT/c. For prolonged shooting at stationary subjects ( like nesting or courting birds) it provides a much more stabile support than a monopod and is certainly more maneuverable than either a monopod or tripod. I leave the tube attached while I walk around the boardwalk. Of course, it depends on how tall you are. At 6' it is ideal for me, but the tube would be too long for someone considerable shorter. Also I found inserting a rubberized foot on the bottom of the tube increased the stability of the rig. I use an extra rubber foot from a RRS tripod that screws directly into the bottom of the tube, but anything from a hardware store would do. I think you will find this will work if you do similar shooting. 5

[1.5 lb] I use them with the Rode stereo videomic X on the Panasonic eva1. I can attach the Rode stereo videomic X on top of a cheese plate in different spots & know the cables will reach without being too long or short. 5
