The Tiffen 55mm Sepia Solid Color Filteradds a warm, pale greenish-brown coloration across the entire image to provide a nostalgic, old-fashioned appearance. The solid color design makes this filter well-suited to pairing with other filters for further control over the appearance of imagery. The 2 color density provides less sepia coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.

[55 mm] I got this lens in the Tiffen 55mm Digital Enhancing Filter Kit and love it. it brings out fall colors even when the eye can't see them and makes those you can see much more robust. I intend to buy this for each of my lenses. The Camp Road picture I have added was taken last Fall (2021) and to be honest the colors last year were not very good, this filter make the picture turn out much better than it would have without it pulling color from where there was little. 5

[0.2 lb] I use the 80A all the time on my DSLRs with the WB set to daylight. That setting is right for interiors lit by incandescent. The strong correction of the 80A really comes into its own with mixed lighting, e.g. a large church interior with daylight coming through the windows. The light-loss is not small, but you will avoid hideous under-exposure & noise resulting from the meter's seeing light which is not useful. Other things being equal, everything including the areas lit by true daylight will be correctly exposed. B&H's price was reasonable and the shipping prompt and efficient. 5

[0.2 lb] Just received my Sepia filter the week of 12/14 and already shot everything that would stand still long enough to get it's picture taken. Love the antique look I get with the filter. Yes, my camera and post production software can simulate the Sepia but I just like the feel of being able to do it this way. 5

[55 mm] I had been using this filter for my 58mm lens and bought this 67mm one for my other lens. It lends a soft, nostalgic look to photographs and can give a look of sunset/late afternoon light. It offers a rich enhancement to oranges, reds and rust colors. This is one of my two go-to filters. 5
