Losmandy V-Series Dovetail Plate 4"offers this 4"-long Losmandy V-Series Dovetail Plate 4"to support their Secondary Mounting System, which allows dual-mounting of smaller OTAs and accessories on their heavy-duty mounts. The plate is configured with a smaller Vixen-style dovetail, and made out of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with a scratch-resistant black anodized finish. This version of the plate has pre-drilled holes set at common intervals, with three 1/4"-20 drilled and tapped mounting holes. A laser-engraved scale on the side clearly denotes half-inch increments with whole numbers marked.

[Aluminum] Using this to adapt an Arca-Swiss plate, which has two 1/4X20 holes, to a Synta/Vixen dovetail. The Arca-Swiss plate is an integral part of a smaller telescope's mounting stalk. Does the job nicely since the Losmandy V-series plate has recessed slots on the wider side that allow the screw heads to countersink and not interfere with its connection to the S/V dovetail. The 4 length is just right for the modified setup to go into a S/V dovetail on a powered, go-to alt/az mount. 5

[Aluminum] I purchased the short 4 version of this Losmandy dovetail plate made to fit Vixen mounts and its clones. Quality and finish is high and the variety of holes and channels provides a variety of mounting solutions. I purchased mine for use with a Coronado PST. Very satisfied. 5
