[SPCC metal] This rack is perfect if you need portability and have no need for a deeper sized rack. The covers lock into place very snuggly.

[3.55 lb] I got this to house a wireless receiver, mixer, and power distribution unit. It works very well. I also put a drawer in the bottom to hold cables, batteries, etc.

[Plating zinc] Needed a 3RU piece for travel and this fits the bill very well!

[3.55 lb] How different is a hard case? this one is, screws go in easy, its sleek looking and does the job.

[51.1 lb / 25 kg] Sturdy, protective, and everything I expected. Has rails on both sides. This thing is solid. I had to muscle the included rack screws carefully by hand due to the fresh coat of paint on the screws and rails. Once they had been fully inserted and the threads were broken in they began to glide in and out with an electric drill or by hand just as they should. Just be careful the first time in because it's all brand new. Great product; I'd buy it again. Best case right here if you're not in the market for a wood+aluminum road case.

[51.1 lb / 25 kg] And the feet are definitely rubber. Loading ANY rack, even with just 1 piece of gear, and then setting it on a leather chair like another reviewer did is just asking for trouble. Most chairs, especially nice leather ones, are sloped down towards the front. Anyway, great rack. Perfect for a guitarist with a minimalist setup. An extra plus, and the main reason I got it, is that the rails are recessed about an inch, so most knobs and switches aren't sticking out beyond the front edges. This gives mounted gear an extra measure of protection in case it topples over and falls on its face. ;)

[3.55 lb] I wish I had just gone with these earlier - some of the bad reviews out there kept me away. Mine had no issues with thin walls, plastic shavings inside, etc. Perhaps buckles will prove to be a bit loose, but seems easy enough to simply curve them in a bit more with channel lock pliers/wrench.


Originally I thought I would prefer other cases with the equipment more flush with the front of the case when open, but there is plenty of space to get your fingers to adjust knobs even near the edges of the case on mounted gear, plus the recess provides a bit more protection.


These stack very well also. The tops do not sag very much, which some others do. (some pictures make them look very saggy, but all of mine are not)


Finally, I don't know of any others that allow for shallow racks to be mixed with full-depth when stacking - this is very useful.

[51.1 lb / 25 kg] The rails mounted in my cabinet easily. The holes are very accurately drilled and tapped. I would buy another set when the need arises.

[SPCC metal] Very light but sturdy enough to sit on. The latches are not the beefiest but they fold down with a very low profile which is unlikely to get caught on anything.
