The AIR12 from PreSonus is a versatile and customizable 2-way active sound-reinforcement loudspeaker featuring 1200W of power and enhanced digital tuning functions, well suited for live bands, DJs, clubs, event halls, bars, speaking engagements, and more. The speaker utilizes two amplifiers for the high and low-frequency drivers. A 500W (continuous) Class-D amplifier powers the 12" woofer for efficient and clean low end performance, while a 200W (continuous) Class-A/B amplifier powers the 1.35" compression driver for a natural "airy" high end. Both drivers combine to provide 131 dB SPL with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB).

The integrated and easy-to-use digital signal processor (DSP) allows you to customize the loudspeaker for a number of applications including DJ, FOH, Monitor, and Speech presets. Additionally, ±10 dB of treble and bass control allows you to further tailor the sound and compensate for room anomalies. Location presets let you optimize performance for stand and bracket mounting as well as flown installations. The Air12 ships with a power cord.

Q: 1. Can I use the FX send on this unit to do a mix-minus for a podcast, when attached to a phone--that is, without applying any effects? From the manual it sounded like the FX knob would only send to the internal FX, but I see that FX jack on the console. Thanks!

A: You should be able to use the FX send without applying any effects and it should work to do a mix-minus setup.

Q: 2. Do you need to change the fuse to use it with 220v ?

A: Yes, the PreSonus AIR10 2-Way Active Sound-Reinforcement Loudspeakers (Single) will need a different fuse to operate at 220V. The fuse included fuse for operation at 100 to 120V is a T5AL 250V, while the fuse required for operation at 220 to 240V is a T2.5AL 250V.

Q: 3. Can you get a picture of this product with the grill off?

A: Currently, Avante does not provide a photo of this speaker without the grill.

Q: 4. Can SOUND delay (milliseconds) be adjusted on the speaker or via the app?

A: The Alto Professional TS410 2000W 10" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth (BH # ALTS410XUS) features the Alto Mobile App which gives hands-on remote control over Bluetooth levels, speaker use modes, custom EQ and sub size selection. Further, true wireless stereo linking can be configured remotely via the app to save time during setup. Delay is not adjustable.

Q: 5. Will it provide 48V phantom power to a plugged-in microphone?

A: The Alto Professional TS408 TrueSonic 4 Series 2000W 8" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth, does not provide +48v phantom power for condenser microphones. If you use a microphone that requires +48V of phantom power, connect it to an external phantom power supply or mixer, before connecting it to the loudspeaker.

Q: 6. Would this amp be a good option for an electric drum kit? Thanks

A: The Alto Professional TS412 2500W 12" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth could be used with electric drum kits or modules that have line-level output.

Q: 7. Are these powered speakers?

A: They are not- they require a separate amplifier.

Q: 8. What rating of power amp is recommended for a pair of these?

A: I would pair these with a power amplifier offering a minimum of 250 to 500 W into 8? per channel. An amplifier offering 1000 watts for channel would be a safer choice to allow for amplifier headroom, less distortion, and longer amplifier life over long periods of continuous use.

Q: 9. Does this speaker have a 1.375 mounting hole for a tripod mount?

A: The JBL JRX225 Dual 15" Two-Way Sound-Reinforcement Loudspeaker System doesn't have any holes on the bottom for it to be mounted on a tripod/speaker stand.

Q: 10. Are these able to be wall mounted? If so what mount would you suggest?

[41.5 lb] We use these in an auditorium for dances, seminars and everything in between. Paired with 18 JBL subs, they more than fill the bill. They are PHENOMENAL. Well-built, powerful, clear sound, zero complaints. May very well buy more for another venue. 5

[131 dB] I bought 2 of these speakers to run out smaller workshop events with and to have them be the lead loudspeakers for our 500+ festivals where we rent 4-6 other similarly sized units. The vocals and cleanliness of music at nearly all volumes in unmatched. We love that these have a lot of manual controls (DEEP, flat, external sub + Vocal boost, normal) outside of the mixer to further tailor what we're using them for in any given set. Yes, these have the DEEP effect which adds a substantial amount of low end if you don't want to tie in subwoofers. Love them. 5

[Active 2-Way] Wood boxes retain more bass than plastic so thats a plus. The negative is that they are heavier. However the carpet boxes take more punishment than the plastic on the road and I have 4 of these and they look good after 3 years of abuse. I dont like passives because theres no amp but I got a light weight Crown XLS1502 to power them up and it weighs only 9 lbs so thats not bad. I never had a client tell me that theres too much high end but I had a client that wanted more bass but I dont own a bass cabinet. Overall they sound good, not spectacular and do the trick for most bands, wedding DJs and PA sound. Also they are cheap enough to ruin and easily buy another one. 5

[28 x 17 x 16.5"] we own 4 DJ setups, 3 with Yamaha's and one with Presonus 12's. First of all, you can pick these up, they only weigh 38 pounds. Second, their continuous power output is the same as Yamaha's 2000 watt option. Third, they have the flattest performance curve of them so even at low back ground music outputs they are crystal clear with all the bass notes. My thoughts on why there are not more of these in use: mainly because they launched into the market at $750 each. Now for $599, it's a no brainer. 5

[1200 W Peak ] These speakers sound and work exactly as you would expect from a JBL speaker. Although they are a base line model, they perform great with our setup. They are paired with the same model line 18 subwoofer and EQed to remove most of the bass. However, I suspect they would sound great full range. 5

[41.5 lb] I recently purchased and installed a pair of these professional grade speakers in a new, small Ethiopian Orthodox church in Sacramento for spoken word and live music. Lots of quality bass and high end. Beyond the congregation's expectations and shouldn't need to be replaced for a couple of decades. 5

[131 dB] These are great for monitors and work well for mains in a small club. To get the best reproduction, use a least a crown amp with 500W into 8 Ohms. If you are using them for mains, I recommend sweeping it with a 1/3 octave eq. 5
