A: This is a very solid PL mount, it will support heavier lenses. However it is never a bad idea to add a lens support unit to your rig, these will give you even great stability and assist you if you are using very large, heavy lenses.

A: I would say of course it feels cheaper. It is. RED's titanium mount is $2000. This costs $400. But, it works fine.

A: No, this adapter is specific to RED Epic or Scarlet Cameras to PL mount, for a PL to Canon EF adapter, instead opt for B&H # FOPCEAAP. Unfortunately we do not have any EF to PL mount adapters.

A: This device is a simple passive adapter (no Pre-Amp of Line level output) to allow easy use of XLR cables on the RED via the 3.5mm stereo connection. There is no reduction in audio quality from the XLR to the 3.5mm.

A: This is specially for RED Epic, Dragon, Scarlet or Mysterium-X cameras. If you have one of those cameras with a lens no longer than 7.1 inches and no larger than 4.2 inches in diameter it will fit in this case.
