Incredibly wide-angle 10mm f/5.6 lens provides a 130° angle of view and is compatible with full-frame digital and 35mm film M-mount cameras.

Rectilinear (non-fisheye) design maintains straight lines toward the periphery of the frame for a more realistic portrayal of architectural and other geometrically complex subjects.

Updated Heliar optical design helps to maintain consistent peripheral illumination, eliminate color fringing, and reduce distortion; making it ideal for use with mirrorless digital cameras.

Two aspherical elements are featured in the optical design to control spherical aberrations and improve clarity, sharpness, and resolution.

Manual focus design permits smooth, refined control along with a minimum focusing distance of 1.6'.

Built-in, non-removable lens hood helps to prevent lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity when working in strongly lit conditions.

Ten-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth quality of bokeh.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the part number of the lens cap and where can I get said lens cap replacement?

A: Unfortunately the closest thing to a lens cap that we have for this lens would be the following: PODFNDR82

Q: 2. Since this came out a few years ago, are there any 3rd party filter holders like the Fotodiox Wonderpana series?

A: At this time, there are no specific filter systems that can fit the front of this particular lens.

Q: 3. Will this Lens mount properly on my Nikon Z6 and provide Infinity Focus if I use it with either a Vello or a Novoflex Lens Adapter designed for ‘M’ Mount to Nikon Z Mount? I don’t care about any lens automation so long as I can use Aperture Priority metering and use the Nikon Z Non CPU Menu setting to assign this lens to the camera with one of these Adapters.

A: yes the lens will work fine with the adapters.

Q: 4. As the lens cap is a slip on type, how to to get a replacement/spare rigid (not the op/tech soft type ?

A: There are no other hard lens caps for this lens at this time.

Q: 5. Does the CV 10mm cause edge discoloration on a Leica M? Thank you.

A: Ken Rockwell claims that all of the super-wide Heliars have rear nodal points located too close to the digital sensors in Leica M rangefinders. If you shoot black and white it's no problem. Film too. You can always create a custom Lightroom color profile to correct for the magenta edge discoloration if this concerns you.

Q: 6. When will this sense arrive ?

A: Please email us at photo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com/a for assistance with your inquiry.

Q: 7. Can I use this lens on a Lumix S1 with VM to L adapter?

A: This lens can be adapted to a Panasonic S1 with a Leica M to L adapter.

Q: 8. Hi, any idea of the FOV on an a6300?

A: The A6300 is an APS-C which crop factor is 1.5 so it would be a 15mm lens. FOV well I have the SEL1635Z, SEL1018 and Vogtlander 10mm and 12mm and it is kinda like this hold your left and right hands out beside you and look straight ahead then pull them forward till you start to see them, I call it ear to ear. First this is the widest lens ever made second it will fit a Sony Full Frame camera when you can afford it (Which is less than anyone else) even if you went A7 what $400 more than the 6300. But if want wide and want to stay Sony look at the SEL1018 with AF and IS for you 15mm for me at FF 12mm clean and sharp every time a great walk around lens for a small camera and no coma when capturing the Milky Way and a zoomer also!!!!! A 15 to 27 for a APS-C the widest you can go to date! There are some fisheyes but too much Post Processing.

Q: 9. Where is this lens made?

A: I contacted Voigtlander and they confirmed that all of their lenses are manufactured in Japan by Cosina.

Q: 10. Can this lens accept filters? I assume not, but a confirmation would be nice.

A: The Voigtlander Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm f/5.6 Aspherical Lens for Sony E does not have a filter thread, so cannot accept standard screw-in filters. Im not finding any filter holder options for the lens at this time. So, it looks as though filters could not be used with the lens.

[f/5.6] I bought this lens back in '15 or '16 back before there were any small light weight and low cost pano rigs. The one thing it has is contacts on the back for AF and info transfer of metadata. I used it for Milky Way's, cave photography and landscapes of Horseshoe Canyon where photographers do multilevel panos while standing on the very edge with no cord tied to camera gear or self to get a combo for down to the river as well as sky. But with just one capture you get all as well as sharpness to the horizon. The key is it is not for the capture of a whole but the story of all close and far.

[Manual Focus] I've always been a fan of wide-angle focal length. The Sony FE 16-35mm is an essential lens in my kit. But the 10mm of Voigtlander is a really great addition to my kit. It offers a significantly wider perspective to the 16mm focal length. The sharpness is very high on all the frame. Superb build. Light and compact. Obviously, the edges especially will appear somewhat stretched, therefore one has to be careful to shoot at level to avoid exaggerating the effects of perspective. A lot of fun and a lot more useful than I initially thought. Highly recommended! Easily worth its asking price.

[f/22] This lens is very fun / frustrating / interesting to use. It's so wide, keeping the tripod legs out of the shot is sometimes a challenge. But I love the results! Very solidly built, sharp across the field, works perfectly with the A7riii. Another great tool in the bag.

[f/22] Focus is sharp. Lighting does not fall off noticeably at edges of frame. A rectilinear hyper-wide can be lots of fun. I like it very much!
