Q: 1. My prints on this paper seem dull compared to the cotton rag. I am using a Canon 4100 and H's ICC. Thoughts?

A: We are sorry that you are having problems with the Hahnemuhle Museum Etching Fine Art Inkjet Paper 350gsm. Please look for the PDF that was also downloaded with the ICC profiles for the print media settings control transport speed to make sure everything is set correctly.

Q: 2. How many sheets in a box?

A: This includes 25 sheets in the box.

Q: 3. If you enlarge a negative onto this film, would the results be a negative or a positive?

A: Bergger PrintFilm Continuous Tone Black and White Lab Film (5 x 7", 25 Sheets) (B&H# BEPF5725) is print film used to create an interpositive/negative. That's an intermediate stage before making the final film positive. As such, the negative that is enlarged onto it would still be negative.

Q: 4. What kind of Chemistry do I need with this paper for best results for Art Show?

A: Here is a link to Berggers document on this. https://bergger.com/media/wysiwyg/illustrations/Notice_Variable_CX.pdf. For the Developer the Bergger Warmtone Print Paper Developer (1L) linked here is suggested. https://bhpho.to/36LIrNi

Q: 7. Is there any documentation about corrections to apply in case of reciprocity failure with times above 1 ?

A: Go to the Bergger website and download the data sheet. It is in there. 1 sec add 1/2 stop. 10 sec add 1.3 stops, 60 sec add 2 stops.

Q: 8. How does this tone? Say selenium for tinting?

A: Toning of this paper is just a light touch of warm (I like very much). This is not Linda greenish like the package shows.

Q: 9. Is this paper difficult to flatten after development? Can it be used with Ilford filters and developer?

A: Once dried, pressing them between 2 heavy books should take care of the curl for the most part.

Q: 10. Can you use watercolor on the paper after printing an image?

A: Yes you can paint watercolor paints in the Hahnemühle Torchon Matte FineArt Paper after printing.

[1.1 lb] I struggled with good cyanotype in terms of tonal smoothness.. Tried using a pack of this and the quality surprised me! Unfortunately it comes in only limited sizes and dealers often ran out of stock.

Using the hybrid formula SWC.

Did find out that low humidity in paper (45% or lower) lowers the DM. Also. the NC needs to be fresh, or kept in full and stoppered bottles. Otherwise the highlights fog. Of course that happens on any paper!.

[1.1 lb] Among the papers that print well in platinum/palladium and cyanotype (SWC), none produced quite as smooth tones as the Berger COT papers. After trying out their lighter weight COT 160, I quickly found it to be my favorite for smaller prints. The thin paper requires more care in handling when wet, but prints exactly the same as the 320 variety.

[1.1 lb] This is my go-to paper for platinum printing, especially the print out method of Malde and Ware. Nice backs, mid-tones and highlights.

[1.1 lb] I’ve used COT-320 before to make platinum/palladium prints and this paper is as good, just thinner, so cheaper. Very happy! I prefer the smooth side of the paper.

[1.1 lb] Platinum and cyanotype print more smoothly on this paper than most other brands. The lighter weight gives it a delicate feel, and the lower price, compared to the 320 version, doesn't hurt either.

It stands up and keeps its characteristics in multiple printing processes.
