A: Its newer which is always good, its sharper than the ll, less vinetting, better color. I think the Mark ll has a metal build but the mark lll is plastic so its a little less durable to beatings but its lighter. Its up to you if it worth it. I own the Mark lll with my 5D Mark iv and love it and have no complaints except for lack of image stabilization. If you want IS then go for the f/4 version. I went with the 2.8 because I do more low light stuff.
