A: While it does not have streaming capabilities built in, it does have an SDI output which you can use with a capture device for streaming. A: The inputs on the Datavideo SE-1200MU 6-Input Switcher and RMC-260 Controller Bundle need to operate at the same video standard. So it can either be 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720.

Q: 3. CAN I USE THIS ONE WHIT Blackmagic Design ATEM Production Studio 4K Live ?

A: I'm afraid not, this unit is designed specifically for use with the Datavideo SE-1200MU Production Switcher. You would need to use an ATEM Broadcast Panel with a Blackmagic Design Switcher.

Q: 4. it can use with mac and window?

A: The control software Datavideo offers for the SE-1200MU switcher is for PC only. They do not offer Mac based software.

Q: 5. Does this allow for API control so that we can control it with an AMX control system?

A: The Datavideo SE-1200 does not offer an API or direct AMX control at this time.

Q: 6. How can the RMC be used to split the screen into two equal parts vertically. The wipe does it but split it into two equal parts horizontally. This is to help us show both the presentation and the camera concurrently on the screen.

A: The RMC-260 comes with several User Settings or preset buttons. This would allow you to set up 2 PIP images on the screen, at the same time, so you could have two video sources playing on the output. Q: 7. Will this switcher properly handle 1080p29.97 from cameras like the Panasonic AW-HE40 over SDI? I understand its a 1080i product, but isn't 29.97p sent over SDI like interlace?

A: Hi James, the SE-1200MU switcher cannot accept 1080p signals through SDI. It can accept 1080p 60 or 59.94 through HDMI input. Thanks!

Q: 8. What cable do i need to connect the se1200 to rmc 260.. Do it already have the cable inclided when i purchase the rmc 260? thank you

A: The RMC-260 connects to the SE-1200MU through a DB9P to DB9P Cable for RS-232 Protocol. The RMC-260 comes with the needed cable.

Q: 9. is the Datavideo HDR-1 Standalone H.264 Recorder and Player an option for recording?

A: Yes, you can. I use the HDR-1 to record from the 1200MU. There are 2 HDMI outputs, one for Multi-View and one is assignable. You assign the second HDMI out to be Program and record both audio and video from there.

Q: 10. Does the mixer have HDCP issues? I have a Sony mixer and when I connect my laptop to it with PowerPoint, the signal is scrambled because of HDCP. In order for me to run a signal to my Sony I have to convert the signal using a processor which is very annoying.

A: Datavideo does not list this switcher as HDCP complaint. You may face issues connecting it with HDCP devices.

[CE, FCC] I work in educational technology at a college. We built a mobile streaming video cart, with this switcher at the core...very intuitive, well constructed, and professional grade. You could pay much more for a switcher and not get as good a unit as this! 5

[Via USB] In my country St. Vincent & the Grenadines in the Caribbean, I use this mixer to send a live 4 input feed to two Big Screens with the BNC outputs and still also use the S-Video Output to send a feed to another company that streams the video live also. And for the Audio, it allows to output an audio channel to the main PA system whenever I'm required to do so for example a performer's intro Av presentation. Overall It's a great Av Mixer when you're just getting started on your own in the Business, Thanks DATAVIDEO & B&H, looking forward to purchasing more great products from you both. 5

[5 W] This is a great product. We are using it at Church for up to 3 hours at the time with no issues so far. The color correction feature is a big plus when using multiple cameras or inputs. The built in multiviewer is great, I hooked it up to a 32 lcd tv and the picture is pretty decent and accurate color wise. We currently use 3 Cameras and a laptop on Channel 4, just plug in the s-video cable from the laptop to any of the inputs on the datavideo and you'll be ready to roll. We even use one of the 4 outputs to feed our internet streaming system and it works great. I don't personally use the integrated audio mixer but it is a good tool to monitor audio, especially on the road. You Can't find a better product for the money! 5

[CE, FCC] I am using the SE 500 in live and instant replay rodeo settings. The Quad screen saves lots of space and extra monitors. The fades and split screen are also very useful in my productions. 5

[19200 ODD] After reading other reviews, I decided to purchase this for our high school broadcasting team. Having no experience myself, I was concerned to spend this much of our small budget on this device. However, having used it now, it is significantly better than any cheaper alternative I sampled and is ridiculously easy to set up and use. Literally no learning curve at all. Our high school students had it set up and running with the monitor preview and a two camera with separate audio running perfectly on the first try in less than 5 minutes. 5
