Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Meike ff cine prime lenses PL mount fit in ?

A: Yes, the Meike Full-Frame Cine Prime PL-mount lenses will fit in the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Black).

Q: 2. Will this case hold Rokinon XEEN CF Pro Cine Lens?

A: The Nanuk 918 Case with Foam Insert for Set of Six Lenses (Black, Special 50th Anniversary Edition) can hold Rokinon XEEN CF Pro Cine Lenses.

Q: 3. Is this case going to accommodate DZO Arles lenses?

A: The Nanuk 918 Hard Case with Foam Insert for Six Lenses (Yellow, 21L) would not be a good choice for the DZOFilm Arles lenses. The DZOFilm Hard Case for Arles 5-Lens Set, BH #DZOCASEAP5, would be recommended to use with the Arles series of lenses.

Q: 4. Tallest lens it will accommodate?

A: This case can accommodate a lens that is up to 8.5 inches tall.

Q: 5. Would Leica Summicron C fit in here?

A: Unfortunately no. The size for each lens in the Nanuk 918 Case with Foam Insert for Set of Six Lenses is 4 inches by 8.5 inches and the Leitz Summicron C lenses are larger than 4 inches in diameter. I would recommend either the foam insert version https://bhpho.to/3eztYYT or the divider version: https://bhpho.to/36Rfyil The Divider version is more adaptable in case you change which lenses or other accessories you might be carrying.

Q: 6. How deep is the 4" section of the hole? Is the lower section exactly 3"? Would a 3.15" lens be able to squeeze in?

A: The pre-cut foam dimensions included with Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case are 6.5 x 9 x 10.5 inches. each lens cavity has 2 removable foam disc to fit long or short lenses. The first session is 2 inches deep. the first foam disc is 1.5'' tall and the second disk towards the bottom of the insert is 2.5 inchees tall. If you remove all foam disk the insert would reach a 6 inche depth. The width of the insert on the top section is 4 inchess, the botton sections is only 3 inches. I wouldnt't recommend this inserts if your lens circumference is winder then the insert because of the pressure you'll be putting on your lenses.

Q: 7. Can the foam insert set be ordered on its own? I have this case with the lid organizer and dividers, but would like to convert it to house my cinema lenses. It would be great to have the foam as an alternate setup. Thanks so much.

A: Yes, the foam insert for the Nanuk 933 Hard Case can be ordered separately on Nanuk's website: https://bhpho.to/3M46iwc

Q: 8. Can this fit Zeiss Otus "28mm", which has a wider diameter? Thanks.

A: Yes it will. You could place multiple of that lens in this case.

Q: 9. will this fit Canon Sumire lenses?

A: The Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Silver) can be considered for use with the Canon Sumire Primes. The lens cut-out diameter in the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Silver) is about 116 mm. The exterior diameter of the Canon Sumire Primes is about 115mm.

Q: 10. Hi Does this case fit for the Samyang VDSLR Mark II (14mm 24mm 35mm 50mm & 80mm)??

A: While the manufacturer does not list the diameter of the lens cavity, it can easily hold a lens that is 3" or smaller in diameter. So those lenses lenses all should fit.

[Handle] I use it for my film cameras and accessories. Threw in a few silica bags, just in case.

The case looks and feels like a great quality product. I do not use it for travel, therefore can't comment on how well it takes the beating in different conditions.

The only downside I see right now is when you start closing the lid from the fully open position, it takes some effort to begin closing it but at some point, the heavy lid starts falling down. You should keep that in mind otherwise it may hurt your hand(s)/fingers. I have another brand case and this is not the issue with the other one. But the plastic on the other case doesn't feel as high quality as the Nanuk's does.

The internal padding and the lid organizer are great.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

[Yes] My second Nanuk to compliment my SKB line of hard cases and a Total Thanks to Nanuk for assisting me finally getting this Special Order case to my front door. It was delayed due to a supply chain issue with the liner which B&H never seemed to be able to get that information. I contacted Nanuk directly and the issue was resolved within a few days. Nanuk's customer service is excellent to say the least...B&H was as helpful as they could be as well...

[Yes] I use it for my film camera gear and accessories. Love the padding for its convenience. I own the case for a few months now and adjusted the padding a couple of times due to the ever-changing need to fit something else in the case.

I have two Nanuk cases and both are of great quality and I'm glad I didn't pay more for the more popular another well-known brand.

I would easily recommend it for the storage of expensive photo equipment.

[Yes] I use this as my mobile photo studio kit! I have a 90D camera with a 18-55mm, 18-135mm, 70-300mm, 24mm, 50mm, DJI Mavic Mini 2, DJI Ronin-SC, Osmos 3, 2 Aperture Lights, NRG Battery Bank, Tools and Cleaning kits. Very rugged design and I trust all my equipment with this case!! Have not tried it on the airline plans past TSA but the Nanuk Company has very cool locks for it.

[Universal] I do real estate photography. For me, this includes Matterport virtual tours, still photography, videography, and aerial video/photography.

My Matterport camera has a custom cutout Nanuk 930 case. Quite nice and serves the purpose well.

However, for photography, video, and drone/aerial stuff, I was carrying a 930 case for my Nikon D850 camera w/18-35mm lens (and several other lenses), and a Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW for my drone.

Aerial photos are requested on EVERY listing. So nonstarter, I bring my drone to every engagement.

I wanted to consolidate down to two cases. For real estate photography, I only ever need the 18-35mm. So was looking for something to hold Nikon/18-35mm plus drone.

Nanuk offers a case for a DJI Mavic Pro drone, but that does not accommodate the iPad nor the MavMount holder for my iPad, and certainly not the Nikon +18-35mm.

The other 930 I had would not accommodate the Nikon plus drone.

Looking at my options, I ended up purchasing the Nanuk 933 w dividers and lid organizer. (see attached photo). The extra depth of the 933 enabled me to pack all the gear I needed.

The 933 w dividers allows me to segment the case to accommodate the aerial stuff I need, plus the, Nikon plus the 18-35mm, plus stow the iPad in the lid. For me, the optimal solution.

As a weird aside, pay attention to the pricing for the 933. The yellow w/ dividers and lid organizer is $341, whereas the orange is $202. Then there are intermediary prices depending on color. Fortunately for me, I was fine with the orange (though would have preferred yellow).

I now have 5 Nanuk cases in various configurations. As such, I can mix and match depending on the requirement. The net is that I have total confidence that the Nunuk case will protect my very expensive gear. I won't travel without it.

[Latch] This case is very sturdy and quite roomy. I can fit 2 camera bodies and 5 lenses with room to spare for other accessories. I can grab this and a tripod for a quick road trip anytime. Love it.
