Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would Leica Summicron C fit in here?

A: Unfortunately no. The size for each lens in the Nanuk 918 Case with Foam Insert for Set of Six Lenses is 4 inches by 8.5 inches and the Leitz Summicron C lenses are larger than 4 inches in diameter. I would recommend either the foam insert version https://bhpho.to/3eztYYT or the divider version: https://bhpho.to/36Rfyil The Divider version is more adaptable in case you change which lenses or other accessories you might be carrying.

Q: 2. Would it fit Canon FD Lenses with a cine modded 80mm OD front ring and slip on caps?

A: Yes your lens may fit this case.

Q: 3. Does this case come with customizable foam?

A: The Nanuk 918 Case (Black) does not come with customizable foam

Q: 4. Can the Meike ff cine prime lenses PL mount fit in ?

A: Yes, the Meike Full-Frame Cine Prime PL-mount lenses will fit in the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Black).

Q: 5. Will this case hold Rokinon XEEN CF Pro Cine Lens?

A: The Nanuk 918 Case with Foam Insert for Set of Six Lenses (Black, Special 50th Anniversary Edition) can hold Rokinon XEEN CF Pro Cine Lenses.

Q: 6. What is the diameter of each hole?

A: Each hole is roughly 4 inches in diameter and they taper down to about 3 inches. If you have some lenses that are larger the 4 inches I would recommend either the foam insert version https://bhpho.to/3eztYYT or the divider version: https://bhpho.to/36Rfyil The Divider version is more adaptable in case you change which lenses or other accessories you might be carrying.

Q: 7. Will a Nikkor 24-120 f/4 fit?

A: Yes, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens (Nikon Z) will fit in the Nanuk 918 Case with Foam Insert for Set of Six Lenses (Graphite).

Q: 8. There aren't many reviews for this Nanuk case. I have naturally always defaulted to Pelican as the industry standard of sorts. Is Nanuk comparable and just as dependable? I can let go of trivial details like the color (my company gets yellow) not matching. But, I'm more concerned with reliability, dependability and withstanding a lot of travel, use, wear and tear, etc. I've read all I can read regarding Nanuk.

A: Nanuk and Pelican are both high quality case manufacturers with unique differences in the way they design and build their cases. Either one is dependable and offer similar options, with some distinct differences depending upon which cases you're comparing. We recommend either company, and could recommend more specific advice if you contact our Sales team, via: chat, email, phone, or in the NYC SuperStore.

Q: 9. Would Zeiss CP.3 lenses fit in here?

A: Yes. While they may be slightly snug, the ZEISS Compact Prime CP.3 Lenses should fit inside the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert.

Q: 10. Can this hold a Sigma 50-100 F1.8?

A: Yes.

[Latch] I wrote several reviews for these Nanuk products, and these reviews will look very much repetitive. It is mainly due to the constant high-quality and excellent design fo these cases. There is nothing else to add. I love these cases, and bought a few whenever they were on flash deals at B&H. They are literally built like a tank. Design and materials are perfect down to the smallest details. I even bought a few spare ones as we always have some fragile items to protect.
I strongly recommend these cases, and purchasing them at B&H.
The only thing I could recommend would be to have, from time to time, the other colors (than the traditional black) made available.

[Latch] Use this case for my Zeiss lenses set. The 8.6” interior depth is good enough for holding lenses vertically. It’s made in Canada which means it shares the same quality control standard as Pelican in US. It really kills those cheap cases. You also receive Lifetime Guarantee as well. Buy it as no brainer. You will never regret.

[Handle] With several Rokinon primes stuffed various places in my gear wrapped in nice lens pouches I was looking for greater protection and organization. This is the perfect product for protecting you glass and being able to find them quickly and easily.
The enclosure is amazingly rugged and well built. The foam lining is a little firmer than I expected but well suited to the purpose of holding these lensing securely and safely.
It's a great case. As my primes increase in number I'll certainly add another Nanuk case to protect and organize them.

[7.235 lb] I shoot many different subjects, from landscapes, to macro, to abstract, to portraits. I love having a variety of lenses, but storing them securely--and so that I can find them--seems beyond my capability. I have too many different bags. I decided to try the hard case, mainly for storage. But it's also easy to stow in the trunk when I set out to shoot whatever moves me that day. I can take my main camera body in my backpack, and go back to the car to change lenses if something speaks to me. It's super easy to configure for the smallish lenses the 50, 80, 17-40, 100 (it doesn't store my 100-400 or my 180 macro). Overall, I am very happy with this solution. The build is great, the foam is tough, the locks are secure. Of course, B&H is hands down the best place to buy stuff. I will purchase more of these boxes for different configurations in the future.
