Burris Optics 3-15x50 MAD Veracity Riflescope Ballistic Plex E1designed the Burris Optics 3-15x50 MAD Veracity Riflescope Ballistic Plex E1with the proprietary Modular Adjustment Dial (MAD) turret system that allows you to order custom turret knobs to make the scope truly your own. This model ships with low-profile capped finger-adjustable windage and elevation turrets, but you can order exposed tactical turrets as a simple swap or laser-etched custom dials calibrated to your rifle's specific ammunition and load so your ballistic drop is as accurate as possible.

Optically the Veracity comes with a 5x zoom mechanism to bring the magnification from a low 3x for close-range varmint hunting to a high of 15x that will allow you to reach out to long distances when stalking large game. Its wide 50mm objective draws in the large amounts of light that are required for low-light conditions such as during dawn and dusk, when game is most active, or in challenging conditions like moving under dense canopies. Complementing the objective size are index-matched multicoatings that are engineered specifically for the lens glass to maximize light transmission and deliver bright high-contrast views at all magnifications.

To get you precisely on-target the windage and elevation turrets have impact point corrections of 1/4 MOA per click with 40 MOA of adjustment range on the windage and a wide 70 MOA on the elevation that speaks to its longer range capabilities. The reticle is likewise optimized for both close and long-range use with progressively thicker crosshairs that provide fast target acquisition at all distances. It is located on the front (first) focal plane so when the magnification of the scope is increased, the reticle's proportional size to the view changes as you increase or decrease magnification—so the reticle's subtensions remain constant throughout the entire zoom range. Hash marks and cascading dots on the lower third of the reticle aid in calculating ballistic drop compensation from 100 to 600 yards while simultaneously helping you to adjust for 10-mph crosswinds—all without having to touch the turrets if you don't want to.

[3 to 15x] I have many scopes from major scope manufacturers and finding honest reviews can be tough. I see reviews claiming they own Fullfield E1’s with better glass and this and that but I have to say those reviews are full of Bull. I own numerous Burris scopes including Fullfield II’s, E1’s, Veracity’s in 3-15 and 4-20. What I will tell you is anybody claiming the Veracity glass is bad is Fake Review! I can tell you all Burris glass I’ve seen is pretty good, even from the lowest prices scopes they sell. The Veracity is an exceptional scope for the money. You won’t find a better hunting scope with better features and glass for the money. I even keep extra E1’s and IV’s around for future rifles for the kids. Written from a loyal Burris customer.

[50 mm] Quality, Build, Design

Mounted this on a Browning 28 Nosler and it's PERFECT! All my other scopes are Vortex, to include a Viper PST II. After hunting with the PST, I quickly realized how important and necessary turret caps are on a hunting rifle, something not offered on the equally priced PST. The Burris Veracity answered the call ensuring windage and elevation knobs remain undisturbed while still hunting or just hiking in. Not to knock the PST (it's an excellent scope as well) but it's not really designed for anything more than a range days.

The Veracity is exceptionally clear and sharp, as is expected for a piece of equipment in this price range. The zoom adjustment ring is a bit stiff, but on the plus side you don't have to worry about having it set on something like 3X while hiking and having it creep up when pulling it out in when needing to quickly acquire a target.

Highly recommended and nice to know there are options comparable to Vortex with the same warranty, price range, and quality.

[30 mm] The Veracity performed flawlessly again. This thing rocks and I love the zero stop. I center punched my bull moose this fall x2 and he was down in thirty yards. Alaskan weather was no issue for it. It never fogged up, was crystal clear and I’ll be using it for a long time.

[50 mm] Mounted this on a Savage 110 ultra lite in 308 with medium 30mm talley rings.

Very clear glass, great edge to edge clarity in its class, eye relief is very generous as well, and lastly the reticle is very sharp.

LOVE that it came with flip up scope covers(competition usually doesn’t), they fold down flat almost and also a sunshade.

Zero stop was super easy to set and I’ll probably keep the turrets capped since this will be a hunting rig for whitetail, axis, and hogs. But will possibly get a custom turret dial done up after I walk it out to 500 yards. So stay tuned.

If you like to dial you could prob say the turrets are a little mushy or not as tactile, but this isn’t what this scope is for in my opinion, and for the price point it’s great!

Maybe a tad bit on the heavy side but it could just be my initial impression.

Overall a great hunting scope for a 3-15!!!

[Multicoated] Very nice scope and the glass is amazing. I don’t think you can beat this quality for the price. Another great benefit is the warranty. That was the selling point for me
